Mara Wilson was a child actor of the 90s. Best known for a role in Matilda. Doug did a review On a movie that she was in way back called a simple wish. It was one of his older videos. Fun fact, Mara is the voice of the teacher from Helluva Boss in season one of episode one. Some have made it head-cannon that the teacher and Matilda are the same person.

Fun Fact: Originally, the star was gonna be a humanoid boy and be a possible love interest. Speaking of love interest originally, the king and queen were gonna be villains together, some youtubers already made songs about them, check them out please. Shame disney cut that out cause they decided to play safe and stick to the original formula rather than make something new.

Erm, for Disney good guys with goatees, I'd say...Phoebus (Hunchback of Notre Dame) and Flynn Rider (Tangled). Maybe also the Huntsman (Snow White) and General Li (Mulan), depending on how you define a goatee.

Goatees are defined as facial hair on the chin that doesn't touch the cheeks sometimes with or without a mustache combo, so technically, Huntsman and General Li would be disqualified from that list. But continuing with the topic, goatees are pretty rare on Disney characters in general. In fact, out of Magnifico and the first two characters you brought up, there are only two other characters with goatees: Tong (a good guy from Raya the Last Dragon) and Alameda Slim (a villain from Home on the Range). So, that's a total of two villains and three good guys with goatees. If anything, in looking into this topic, the most used facial hair in Disney for bad guys are thin and or handlebar style mustaches.

Your the type of person that would played Kingdom Hearts and then be asking tons of questions when Sora arrives in the Disney worlds like why Anna's true love is randomly trying to kill Elsa, or why Quasimodo is randomly shouting sanctuary to an empty crowd of people. I never saw this movie either but I have seen it advertised for a few seconds on KZbin or streaming services. I admit I didn't see every Disney film but I still get the references. When I saw Wreck-It Ralph 2, I knew the Scottish redhead is from that Brave movie I never saw. I knew the Polynesian girl is from Moana that I never saw, I knew the girl with the 70 foot long hair is from Tangled.

Madame Web is a character from Spider-Man. She's a blind old woman who can see the future and she works to guide Spider-Man along his path, she's kinda like the wise old mentor character. Sony decided to make an entire movie all about Madam Web without Spider-Man in it, and it was an enormous train wreck in literally every area. Definitely watch Critic's review of it. Watch the Pitch Meeting of it too, you've GOTTA start getting into Ryan George's videos in general, he's hilarious.

8:01 To be fair, "leave you here I don't wanna" is a legit example of anastrophe, a technique where the word order is changed around to match the rhyme and rhythm. Prior to _Wish,_ most people would have recognised this technique from the operas of Gilbert & Sullivan, which I believe I brought up on my comment on the Top 11 _Simpsons_ Episodes video, where those operas contained such lyrics as "an articled clerk I soon became", "an incubus then I thought her", "though everywhere true love I see", "though my book I seem to scan" and "a more humane Mikado never did in Japan exist" (the word "Mikado" meaning the emperor of Japan in this context). It's a shame that now everyone thinks this movie invented that technique.

It is hard to explain to you what a betrayal this is. Like think of a game or movie you really like. Then that studio making another movie insulting that one you liked. Times that by ten, and that is wish. The bigger tragedy is that it was so mediocre it couldn't even be considered so bad it is good. It is just bad.

I know you’re not a musical guy but I’d recommend that you watch Spielberg’s version of West Side Story. I say this because Ariana DeBose (who played as the main character in this) shows that she clearly has talent, that and her opening numbers at the Tony Awards as well. Wish came out in November of 2023. It’s literally 7 months old and is already a massive disappointment. At least there was Once Upon a Studio, a short film that came out almost the same time as Wish that used a plethora of characters from modern and old Disney, but using them better than Wish did. That seemed more of a celebration of 100 years than this movie.

I have to say this is perhaps the most Boring Disney Movie to Date, like Baldur in GOW I legit felt Nothing and it felt more of a Insult to 100th Years of One of the most Inspiring Companies that have become a Broken Image of Itself with the Magic being twisted into a Confusing Mess, I didn’t even care if it was the 100th Anniversary Special as we got one in a Form of a Short and I just wanted a Good Disney Movie for Once, but sadly it seems like it would take a few more years for Disney to get back in Shape, Real Talk here Magnifico should have been the Main Character and Asha as the Main Threat, or show that some of those Wishes are Truly Dangerous full of dark Desires, or make the King and Queen as the First Disney Villain Couple, or Show Magnifico’s Backstory and Motivation, or show that sometimes it’s better that we don’t get our wishes as it’s could be one of those things we should be careful, but instead it’s too Safe and I’m glad I watch Thanksgiving on my Birthday in Theaters than This.

I know everyone really hates this movie, and even NC in this video really trashed this movie and got really angry about it, but to be honest I didn’t find it completely awful. The plot twist of Wish is that the king is the literal embodiment of Disney as a corporation. This was in fact the employees way of saying, ‘please see how evil this company is and save us!’ I’ve never watched a movie that bashes Disney more than Wish did, and to add insult to injury it was Disney that made it! *Mind Blown*
