Moving is allot of work especially with fish. I helped my friend move 64 fishtanks, it took us 5 weeks to complete. Anyways before you know it you're move will be competed and everything will have it's spot in you're new home. Congratulations and enjoy your new home.

@@SimplyBetta He knows I'm a good friend. About a month ago we both replaced his Electric Water Heater. We both looked up KZbin videos and tackled the job. Now he can do water changes. He's been throwing the idea around of a automatic water changes. I said we'll I'm here if you would like the help, but he's not ready yet for that. Since he's been breeding fish for a while, now he's wanting to breed snakes. So far he's got 15 snakes, and a gazillion rats and mice lol. It's a zoo, a awesome zoo! Me I have a few (5) fish tanks, 3 Pac-Man foods, Dubai Cockroaches and Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches. My wife says No snakes, Tarantulas, or scorpions. It was an incredible house, like a ski lodge! It wasn't mine though, it was my grandfather's. I am really grateful for our own little place, though, it's so cozy and the fish room garage is awesome haha. Thank you Mercy!

I forget where I saw it, but I saw one fishkeeper use a portable pop up greenhouse in their shed or garage to offer some temperature control in a more uninsulated space for fish tanks and plants. Could be a possible temporary solution until you can get a wall and insulation up. Moves are SO hard! My husband is active duty military, so we've moved every few years. We've moved cross country repeatedly, with pets! Did a cross country move with 2 cats, 2 dogs, and Mason jars with my guppies in them. 😊 Moving can really help you learn what "stuff" is truly important to you and what you can get rid of. 😊 Best wishes for settling into your new home and restarting your fishroom projects. 💖

That's a great idea! Luckily I didn't have a ton of livestock to care for, I had spent time selling a lot of what I had so I have minimal fish at the moment. Wow you're like, a moving pro. This was my first time moving with a family, I definitely learned my lesson on what to let go of next time. Thanks for the nice comment :)

That's the layout! The fish room/office is the half of the garage that's right by the house, and the unheated half is by the garage door which is still functional

And you’re right next to the half of a garage so you can go build shelves or whatever you want and it’ll be very close and easy to move to your office. Lol. @@SimplyBetta it should be good, you’ve already got the insulated floor part for sound that should help and if you really need to you can add insulation to the walls but it’s kind of inside even being in the garage so hopefully it’ll do good. If it’s a problem you can walk around the outside and feel with your hand to see if there are any spots where air is getting out and seal those up but it looks like they did a pretty good job with it. :)

The garage is a perfect spot for under floor modular heating they have now. Going to be an adjustment going from so much space to your townhouse. Knowing your bounce back positive personality you and your family will be fine in no time. As much chaos as moving brings I always look to it as a new adventure. Whats better than that?!

I looked into the under-floor heating! I ended up being on such a strict time crunch I couldn't do something like that though, oh well. I got a nice electric wall heater installed instead and it's working out pretty nicely :) And thank you! We might be in a smaller place, but it's all our own and we love it!

This video gave me memories back in the days when I moved more times than I can count. What I found, back then, was : "When you are completely finished packing, and there is nothing left to do ... at that point, you still need 25 more boxes to finish the job." Sounds ridiculous. But it really is true.

Congratulations on your move! Having just gone through a big move myself I'm taking some inspiration in your ingenuity. We had accumulated 16 years of stuff in our house and I had about a hundred juvenile and a dozen adult Bettas and other species. It was absolutely exhausting! I wish I had been able to convert some space in my garage instead of my pretty small laundry room. I'll be watching for updates for inspiration!
