I grew up bilingual, my kids now too, and at the begining they really speak in one sentence both languages. This is the natural way. Would love to read a multilingual book one day 😊

It is a matter of culture for filipinos to mix languages and then just call the composite language filipino (now there is also a an official "Filipino" = mixed tagalog/english/spanish). It is rare to come across filipinos who can speak strictly in just local dialect or just English. Even court cases and education tend to be multilingual endeavors.
