I was worried it was something tough when you said you had a situation going on. I was in a horrible accident 21.5 years ago and have a ton of chronic medical issues. I have some advice to get her on the right road ASAP: 1) Get her into the best intensive in-patient rehab as soon as she’s ready to leave the hospital, even if you have to go to the nearest city. 2) She’s a gamer, treat this situation like something she can relate with to motivate her: the ultimate Boss Battle. And play music, even on an acoustic guitar. When either of you feel like you can’t dig deeper, rely on the things you love for motivation and decompression. We love you! ❤️‍🩹💐🩹

I feel this Glenn, especially that ending. My dad got in a car accident about two weeks ago and broke his neck. Luckily it wasn’t a complete break and he’ll be fine in 6 weeks or so, but if the car that t-boned him had been just a bit heavier or had been going just a bit faster it could have been a complete break and he could have been paralyzed from the neck down. Been getting into drums lately so ya know what, I think I should rewatch that how to record heavy drums playlist.

Glenn as someone who watched a loved one go through Stroke recovery I can only say I’m sorry you two have to go through this. My only advice is to understand the days ahead will be good ones and bad ones physically for her. She needs to do her occupational therapy. All of it. And never really stop fighting. I’m not sure what all was damaged but I have watched the fallout first hand. Be well and change your speaker often? Errr Strings? Instructions unclear…

Fellow Canadian just down the road in Burlington. Wishing you all the best Glenn. My wife had a stroke in 2020, and she was moved out of the hospital support system after just a few weeks, just as the covid lockdown was imposed. Been there, done that. Luckily, she had a 90-95% recovery and while she's a bit wobbly on her feet (I tell folks she's been day drinking again), speech and cognitive centres were not affected. We were lucky, and grateful to be in Canada. I'm hoping that your wife's outcome is just as successful as my wife's was. I'm not a religious man, but I'll send all the goodness I can your way. Just remember, it's a long, slow journey you are both on. Fingers crossed and wishing you and your wife the best.

Just wanted to say that I think this request is paying off, I only found you in the last couple of weeks just being randomly suggested to me in my recommended feed. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. Several family members and friends of mine have had strokes recently and thankfully they've pulled through and recovered well.
