Same here, slow down we fall down 🙃 camping fixes everything. Found this one really interesting and it’s given me some pointers to find the not so well trodden modern paths of Kinder. Stunning spot, and so my fascination with Kinder Scout continues! Thanks, more content like this please 😊
@AndrewBeavers Жыл бұрын
thanks sarah & the more you explore kinder i think you'll find it even more fascinating..its not just the baron moorland plateau that it's reputation has..it has a whole lot more to it than that & it's history is just the start ive loved exploring it's inner depths over the year's & i now feel quite at home up there in all conditions..
@SoloSarahBX Жыл бұрын
@@AndrewBeavers thank you for your reply, I do find Kinder quite intimidating mainly because of its vastness and weather/visibility, your right though, the more exploration, the more confident I’ll become when alone camping. I’m getting there but the beauty is that I’m In no rush and trust the process. Some great adventures to come I think, thank you for your ongoing inspiration, it’s far reaching ✨

Camped on this very spot a year ago - great little pitch. Climbed up Crowden Brook which has a nice little scrambling section.
@gregcoleman7328 Жыл бұрын
Awesome camp up on Kinder, I know the path you mean, encountered recently on a couple of plateau traverses. Also did the narrowest point traverse just to see how long it took from south side to north! There is certainly more to the Plateau than you initially think and there are a fair few rock formations too. It made me smile when you mentioned the right hand fork at the top of Grindsbrook, I had never done it before but finally did it in June. It was a really nice scramble, some decent size boulders and a few waterfall walls high enough for a little climb. Nothing too bad ( at least when fairly dry) to tackle, but definitely a bit more challenge and fun than the standard Grindsbrook finish. It would be great if you do video it, as it is definitely relatively little tackled by the majority as far as I can tell. Certainly no one else on it that day. I noticed that one of the Cloughs immediately east of Jacobs Ladder looks pretty interesting and definitely has a reasonably sized waterfall wall on it and is very steep indeeed on the top section ( not far off Wilderness Gulley steepness by the look of it) Have you ever tried that Clough? It doesn’t seem to be named. I have seen one person going up it in the past so presume it is passable. Great video Andy, looking forward to the next one 👍

Hi, In regards to mics. I have reviewed a few Rode mics in my channel but you might just need a decent rycote deadcat. Failing that close mic-ing with a Lav mic makes for a smaller more protected option. The Boya mic sounds fine out of the wind.

Andy, any mic will pick up the wind noise even with a "dead cat" on it, you need to separate the audio out of the video and process it in another program with filters, then put it back in the edit once processed, hope this helps?
