Really blown away by how you can feel the change in position instantly, all because of a simple design to make your hands fit more ergonomically on the tops, I think this is a great handlebar if someone is struggling to find comfort, the tops of the bars can be a great spot to utilize some comfort on the road, or if your looking for more confidence on gravel or climbing, this will help with control as well
@paulbeaumont196611 ай бұрын
I've been using this bar for the last year or so. Very comfortable on long rides but the game changer is the fact that the centre of the bar is about 50mm further forward which allows you to get into a psuedo time trial position with hands next to the Garmin mount. It is noticeably faster but still feels secure from a steering perspective.

I've had this bar for some time now, and pretty much echo what this gentleman says ^. It looks super cool as well. I have climbing shifters mounted on the underside, and with the top grip ergonomics + climbings shifters it's siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. I'll probably be buying another for my other bike soon.

I was wondering about that. Did you shorten your stem? The design makes it looks like it would stretch you out vs a normal bar.
@rgefryer11 ай бұрын
@@Zzyyxx22The idea of the design is that you don't need to change the stem - the hoods are in the same position relative to the stem as on a conventional bar. The change is that on the tops you're rotating your thumbs forward and your elbows in, but the reach to the heel of your hand (where they rest on the tops next to the hoods) is unchanged. The other aspect which wasn't noted in the video is that the tops now slope downwards from the middle to the hoods, which again puts your hands in a more natural position.

I own one of these bars - sold my S5 to be able to ride it. Comfort - like no other - I have been riding and racing for 37 years. This bar is the first time I have been comfortable - BUT - ignore that. This is the fastest bar available. I can ride chin to stem, flat back, elbows in for extended periods of time - with comfort similar to being in good arm rests on a TT bike. It allows me to be aero in ways I have seen some pro riders but never attained myself. You can ride puppy paws with no worries with your forearms over the large tops, and given their angle you have more surface under your arms for control. You can hook your thumbs in the space between the computer mount when climbing. You can get your hands right in front of the stem and be stable and tucked in. Highly recommend. Game changer

Probably wouldn't get these for myself, but I can see why many people can love them. The favourite bars of mine, though, are Ritchey WCS Butano, which I have on my technically speaking cyclocross bike, which I last year used also as a gravel and both summer and winter road bike. I have them in 400mm width. For me, they have the perfect amount of drop and flare for what I use them for, on the tops they have some backsweep and the profile of the tops make them REALLY comfortable to hold there. They're nothing superr fancy, they're alloy, not aero and the version I've got doesn't even have internal cable routing, they are not that heavy though (at least speaking of alloy bars). Especially compared to carbon bars, these are cheap, so I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for more hand comfort without breaking the bank.

I installed this bar on a bike with a mechanical Ultegra and disc brakes. These bars come with two fish lines which both come out on the top side of the bar. When routing the shift cables and brake hoses I discovered that the only good way to route these was to have the brake hose come out the top, and the shift cable through the hole on the bottom side of the bars. With a small hook tool you can pull one of the 2 fish lines out the lower hole and then use it to pull the shift cable housing. Trying to route both the shift cable housing and a hydraulic brake hose through the top hole is nearly impossible.

Things to be careful of: You need longer than normal bar tape - the ENVE tape is long enough. Hopefully they’ve solved whatever issues they were having with production/distribution - I waited a year for my second set of bars to come into stock. Worth the wait, but still annoying!

...oh and also - they look weird for sure until you have them on your bike and then you hardly notice how they look - what others will notice is how tucked in and aero you now are when you are riding...

I would love to get these handlebars! But my bike is a sub 2000 USD alu-bike (with 55 mm carbon wheels). Not sure if I really can motivate such an expensive purchase!

I confess I dont understand how this helps. The only thing i use the center portion for is resting my elbows/forearms on to get aero, and this bar would move that support further up the forearm and put more strain on the arms amd shoulders.

more aero and also more comfortable, flare your arms out all for 2 hours it is strains and engaging all your muscle when you add weight, now if you have them centered under you it will reduce that strain
