boiling the water before putting in the pasta actually makes a difference,it makes the pasta less soggy (or “al dente” like we say in italian) and the tomato sauce or whatever sauce you’re going to put on is going to “stick” to the pasta and make it more flavorful

Theres a trick where you can seperate the egg white & yolk with a plastic bottle. Look it up, might be handy for in the future. To easy and quickly cut tomatoes in half, grab 2 plates. Put the tomatoes on one, put the 2nd plate on top of it (upside down) and slightly/gently push it down. While pushing the plate down, grab your knife and cut the tomatoes in half.

Just to let you know for next Time, when you cook pasta you first bring it to a boil, then you pour in salt (loads of it) and stir and lastly you put in the pasta and cook it for the recommended time

the pasta cooking time starts when you put the pasta in boiling water. If you put it before it boils, it will end up being either undercooked or overcooked(depending if you start the cooking time as soon as you put the pot on the stove or when the water finally boils)

Well... you can cook pasta in both cold and boiling water. Cold water is great if you want to get 'pasta water' with starch from pasta, which you can use for sauces, but pasta tends to stick together and have starchy, slimy surface (from the water). Boiling water is easier, because it's easier to get the time right and make it just 'al dente', but you need more water and it takes more time. A friendly advice: if you're a beginner, use boiling water.
