The Fact I came across this video got me wanting to pull some Mystery Booster in my local shop so ended up buying roughly 20 packs and pulled my own Mana Crypt. It was a sign just coming across this first that got me rolling for some pulls.

Mystery Boosters are my favorite magic product by far! There are so many amazing playable cards in the set, and it's an absolutely awesome draft experience! It helps that I have had absurd luck with it, having pulled 4 Mana Crypts in 7 boxes. You start to see the track printing of which rares show up with it (Tef Pro, Evra Halcyon Witness, Deepglow Skate, Mirror Entity...) The first printing of the retail box had trouble with duplication, and you can find videos of boxes pulling two Crypts (absolutely wild). I personally opened boxes with duplicate Tef Pro and Expropriate. Unfortunately in the new 2021 convention edition, it is not possible to pull Rhystic Study. That card was removed along with several others due to them all containing Terese Nielsen art, whom wotc publicly announced they would not contract out for any future products.

As much as I LOVED the retail edition product, but I could never justify the convention edition with those prices. Maybe now it's worth it, but man this was a hell of a box and having hit a Mana Crypt and a Rhystic Study in my last box and my friend hitting D Tutor and Crypt in his, we both retired from the product. 😅

3:21 I think (note I didn’t play at the time, only fully got in during neon dynasty with my first draft/sealed event being new capenna) but looking back on other people opening boxes I think it was invested in because of drafts & the more important one if the big hits weren’t reprinted (rhystic at common, mana crypt, vorinclex had a nice price point for a while until kamigawa) would continue to raise in price and as the best place to try and hit those cards it would make the value of boxes of mystery boosters shoot up

I pulled a Balduvian Horde from an Alliances pack at my LGS and it was the best pull I've ever had (at the time of the pull) until I cracked 1 regular and 1 extended Jeweled Lotus from the same booster box. I immediately traded the Balduvian Horde for 4 packs of Mirage and a Maro bc I played Green as a 10y/o

In reality you rarely get your value back opening boxes...take the wins where you can. Btw I don't think you can open Rhystic Study in this set anymore. I opened up 2 retail edition Mystery Boxes recently, have had them since 2020. Didn't get a single Mana Crypt, Rhystic Study or even Demonic Tutor. Just how it goes!

Unfortunately, for the Mystery Booster Convention Edition boxes released in 2021, some of the good hits with art by people that WOTC doesn't work with anymore (i.e. Rhystic Study, Nature's Lore, etc.) aren't available within the card list, so you aren't able to pull them. Alongside that, collation has changed for cards (this comment originally mentioned Dtutor, but I continued watching and saw it in the common/uncommon slot). Seems like it's wishy-washy with how the cards were changed to appear.
