I also started a binder system to keep track of all of my stamping stuff, but I am not as far along as you are. I made a sample of all of my Martha punches and it took an evening to glue them all into the pages. It is a work of art in itself. Thanks for sharing. You have given me the idea of punching out color swatches. Very neat, thanks!

I have had a full size version of this for years I also include a listing of all my stamps by manufacturer. It is a paint to keep updating. I have been doing this for years and I am tired. It is so much work and you are absolutely right. If you lose it you want it back!

OMG. I have a 3 ring binder that i started with just putting my cricut cartridges and embossing folders. I've had it in my mind to inventory my studio and am getting ready to remodel my basement and while workers are there, I am going to use your ideas and scribble inventory to later type up and have a computer list printed or stamped to go in a smaller purse-bag size. Thanks so much for sharing your RELIGION with us. Dee

CeeCee, I am certainly a fan of your artwork, finding you on KZbin within the last year, but have JUST found this video from 5 years ago. I LOVE it! I have inventory binders in my art room for inks, embossing powders, punches, embossing folders, etc., but not a single binder that incorporates all of my supplies that I could take with me. This would be HUGELY helpful as I tend to purchase duplicates occasionally...ok, I'll admit, I am quite the hoarder when it comes to art supplies, but seriously would prefer to have only ONE of MOST things. Smiles. tfs as always. ~BLESSINGS~

I've been wanting to make he of these for years, but haven't gotten around to it. Thank God I have a good memory. I'm pretty good at remembering what I have, since I'm continuously organizing my thins, and have never bought a duplicate of something believe it or not. However, I know this will not be the case all the time, so this is a project I plan on getting done eventually! Love your book!

Hi CeeCee, I found this video some months ago and was inspired. I created one using a half size binder from an office supply store. I am in the process of fine-tuning it now. The half size binder was too bulky for me to take everywhere and I was using it more for reference in my studio. So I ended up getting a tiny little journal book and just writing everything in that. I take that everywhere and at least I have the names of stuff I have. :) One thing I did was include certain stamps/sets that I own because I find myself drawn to certain patterns/colors etc. I ended up either cutting the UPC off the stamp package or printing and reducing an image of the set off the internet. And now this comment has gotten way long. :) Thanks for sharing your amazing inventory book. It's been a money saver for me. :)

This is great! I love how you have it layed out. I was thinking of doing something similar and I think I will document mine the same ;) *hugs* This is also very good to have for insurance purposes. I have my craft stuff insured (I used to teach stamping at 4 hobby lobby's so I have way more stuff than a regular crafter and I've also been stamping since '97) and the adjuster said make an inventory and take pics and put in your safe.

I know this 2 years later - and I love how cute your binder is. A year ago I bought an android tablet. I put Microsoft One Note on it. Whenever I buy a craft supply like paint, tools, dies, etc. I document it in One Note. Since the app is on my tablet, I can look up things before I buy while at the store. Also I often create a shopping list as I use things up, like glue. This allows me to track supplies and saves me money. The app allows me to organize the supplies and I can also add photos of products too. I also keep my coupons on my tablet. Needless to say, I never go shopping without it. But it isn't as cute as your binder.
@creationsceecee10 жыл бұрын
Dianne, this is another great idea! The reason behind the binder is that I wanted to have something that would allow me to also have swatches of my supplies. It helps me choose the right color or texture before I actually dive into the pile of supplies and saves on time. Have a wonderful day!

I get it. I just created several swatch cards for my paints, markers, pastels, and inks. Whew! That took several hous and I can see why you did it. Thanks for replying to me. Keep up the great art.

Brilliant! I’m using a sketchbook but it’s bulky. I have a couple of these type binders but I was thinking of using my discs from my 365 Day planner since I have that hole punch I can use various papers etc. I just started on my art journey last year and I can’t believe what I’ve all accumulated so far. I stamped a lot in the 80’s -90’s that I add too. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.

You are amaZing! I have a tiny book in my purse with a lot of the same info that you have, however, it is so old that it is falling apart. I, too, have had women in stores comment on how impressed they are that I actually have everything listed. I've been saying that I need to create a new one, but, the job seemed absolutely daunting to me. You've inspired me to, at least, think about making a new one. Thanks for all of the great tips.

On my goodness, I can't believe I found someone else like me who has an inventory binder. I guess we are both pretty strange to others who don't understand our need for organization. I have a swatch of every color of anything I own with color, as well as stamps, punches, dies, embossing folders, etc. This keeps me from buying duplicates which I did often before creating my book. It's great to find a soulmate!!

Hi CeeCee - I just found this video and loved it! I thought it was a recent video until I looked at the date! Holy moley! I was going to mention that it's impossible to find the Sara Binders anymore. I was a long time fan of PaperWishes (watched Paulette and Sara everyday) and HOTP and knew they stop carrying them. I have set up one that is like my "Bible" for my scrapping supplies but also for household information, like appliances purchase dates, etc. I also have pages of techniques I have learned from You-Tube. I love it and I reference it almost every day!!! xoxox

I also plan on using it for project creation ideas so I don't have to hunt threw my supply to come up with an idea. :)

I completed the colors and stencils portion tonight ... I see that I don't own Nearly Enough supplies! Lol. 😄 I have a one...count it ...1...twinkling H2O, [a gift] and 1 roll of Washi tape. I have zero heat embossing supplies, zero big shot or cutters but I am still very happy as I have stamps, inks, markers, color pencils, watercolors and lots of paper, cardstock and a paper cutter. I also have a few decorative scissors and ribbons. Making the little inventory book gave me a way to start a wish list! I heard you say that and thought it was a great idea. Thanks for sharing and I have enjoyed many of your videos on utube. Howdy from Texas!

Your concept and execution is WONDERFUL!!! Love using the binder. One suggestion: you mentioned how awful it would be if you happened to lose the binder. Perhaps you could create a digital backup by taking photos of each page and making at least two backups of your photos. Or, make a video carefully flipping through each page (you could use your youtube video but I think you flipped over a few) and capture screen shots from that. I suggest keeping the video/photo digital backups in separate places; perhaps one on your computer hard drive and one on a flash drive that you store in a safe place. That way, if you ever lost the binder, you could at least print out your pictures as a substitute or a good starting point to recreate it. I share your fear of losing paper documentation because I used to manage large customer databases. My best practices for ensuring the security of data include having hard copy and two secure digital backups of the hard data, as well as two secure copies of the database itself. That might sound paranoid, but if we had lost our customer/client list totally, it would have been like losing years worth of relationships that would have cost LOTS of time and money to recreate. Even though I don't do databases right now, I guess I'm hard wired with the fear of losing documentation. It's such a hassle to recreate it from nothing! I know this sounds OCD, but you might thank me if you ever DID lose the binder and those computer photos saved you! :-)

This is a great idea! I've been using various inventory apps so I could access it while shopping since I've managed to buy duplicates of more things than I care to admit, and the only one that wasn't a pain in the tuchis to add things to is an art inventory app that works great but is geared more for paper crafting and watercolor, which I do both, but also other things, and it requires a subscription that is sadly out of my budget for the moment. I am definitely going to work on one of these now, it will certainly come in handy even after I can hopefully afford the app. Now, I wonder if I can make it pocket sized... New project! Lol

If you have more questions, please let me know!

Hi, dis is very cute and very handy! Now my question is: Do you have tips door an alternative solution for your binder? Because i'm from holland and i searched for that type of binder every where but it was to big or way to small!
@creationsceecee10 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, the SaraBinders have been discontinued. I haven't seen anything this size since. And because I don't know what is being offered in Holland, it's difficult for me to guide you towards another product. Have you considered making your own book? You could do something with front and back chipboard covers and bind it with large rings. If so, the dimension of my book is roughly 5-1/4" wide by 7-1/2" tall (13.2cm X 19cm). I hope this helps a bit. I'm sorry I don't have a better solution for you. CC
