I bought an I.Magnin faux fur jacket for $10 at a garage sale this weekend! And 3 vintage Fossil bags, two vintage beaded clutches, and the most amazing vintage cosmetic bag (has a lipstick tube, mirror, comb, powder and eyeshadow areas, perfume bottle and a notepad. And everything original is there. $15 for all of that plus some trinkets. It was an amazing weekend!

PLST is a clothing store in Japan. Can't believe you found a piece at the bins! Price it up and allow offers, someone will pay up for it. That Varvatos jacket is stunning! What a great pickup. I think JJill, Talbot's, Coldwater Creek, Soft Surroundings all use the same manufacturers so no surprise to find such similar clothing. I have 2 velvet tops, 1 SS, 1 J Jill that are identical except for color. Absolutely identical. All these stores have been sold to venture cap companies by now so not surprising newer styles will be the same....at least until the business is closed down so the real estate can be sold.

Interesting! I do love finding some small Japanese brands - I see quite a bit of them here. Good call on the SS/JJill note - I know Soft Surroundings and coldwater creek were together, but I had no idea the others were in the mix! All pretty great quality on all of their pieces though, and lots of similarities, so that tracks!

Most of my sales come from Banana Republic. They do have quality in their clothing and if you can find their higher end suits and dresses, you can make a good bit of money. Research the brand and see which pieces do well.

Interesting! I know their stuff is of incredible quality (I have a bunch in my own closet!) I'll do a bit more digging to see what other kinds of things I could snag - I do see a LOT of it in the bins!

It's men's! So - on a women's shirt, when being worn, the buttons are on the left side, so when you're looking at it on a hanger, the buttons will be attached on the right hand side. Men's, of course, the opposite. This shirt was pretty clearly a men's cut, but when in doubt, it's the easiest trick to figure out if it's men's or women's.
