Good tips. I was able to get someone JFK to MXP on business for 76k points on aeroplan 4 days before departure. I have myself booked Emirates First A380 SIN to DXB this fall for 114k points and $400.

Great video! But for those of us with regular day jobs and need to plan ahead for travel, booking something 1-3 days before is just not feasible 😂

You can just take off work and then book the flight when it opens up!!

Would love to hear y’all’s advice on having multiple travel credit cards. I have heard some people downgrade or close cards so they can sign up for new ones with the same provider after a year or so. What’s the best way to do it/some pointers? IE if I used my signing points with a capitol one venture card, should I close it and upgrade to the next level? Or keep it and not put money on it?

I'd like to know too. I have already used my sign up bonus for my travel cards, great trips, but now what??? lol Do I close the account wait a year and get the sign up bonus again?

Emirates has cheap first class fares out of JNB. I'm doing JNB-DXB-HND in A380 F and new 777 F. Also FYI MXP-JFK is going to the 777, no more A380 :(
@rossbradley Жыл бұрын
Yeah I booked the MXP-JFK flight for this December on the A380 and they changed it to the old 777 :/ Still will be an amazing experience though as it's my first time flying Emirates F! @jakesonaplane_ do you (or anyone else) know how to find the best cheap flights on the A380 for a future flight? Showering on an airplane is on my bucket list :)

Hi, maybe I miss a part but on your video I never any option where we see 102k points for your flight (JFK-ATH), only 200k via Aeroplan. Is it Pointme that provide the 102k points option that you need to book this flight ?

HI, great video. Could you please do a video for Canadians. Which credit cards are the best, etc. I know there was a session on Facebook awhile back but I don't have Facebook. Thanks so much.

Probably a stupid question but I cannot find a reliable answer …. If I book a flight using points transferred like this video, do I still get the reward points credit for taking the flight?
@charmer5886 Жыл бұрын
i believe that is not the case. you are not earning points bc you are spending points.
@jakesonaplane_ Жыл бұрын
you dont earn points when flying using points...but if you use a travel credit card for the taxes and fees you at least get points for that

I say this respectfully. It's really misleading that you didn't clearly say that there are HUGE fees on many of their flights. Emirates points are nearly unusable besides a few instances. C'mon guys. Not cool.

Just have to drink enough Dom and eat enough caviar. I paid 114k points and $400 SIN to DXB for Emirates First A380. Yolo.
@theonlyraid Жыл бұрын
Its a first class flight for 102 dollars out of pocket. That is an insane deal even though you cannot pay entirely with points. I don't think the people using these deals are going to care about 100 dollars on their 12000 dollar savings compared to full price.
@dyhppyx Жыл бұрын
@@theonlyraid you're not understanding. That price is only for this specific route. Most routes cost the points plus $800

Nate paid at least US$100 for his first class seat (video shows 90 Euros) back then so paying the US$105 for taxes and fees today isn't that painful in comparison.
@hithurshawn Жыл бұрын
I think the point he was making was that Nate paid 85k points instead of 102k that he found in the video
