I love the concept and so watched this expecting a serious test of drum lesson standards on online platforms as reviewed by a world class drummer. But, when I began to realise that the drummer was being humourous about this premise I really wanted to hate it! But I don't hate it. I laughed. It's funny. It's a fun video. Judge not less you be judged. This was a fun and worth while video. Zach not only plays drums amazingly, he's funny as heck. Btw the female teacher here is outstanding and gave a wonderful lesson for Zach despite him not necessarily needing the advice in the end. She had a clear lesson plan and it covered many aspects from technique bro beat and finally philosophy. Very all encompassing. Great video. My cynical nature wanted to reject it when I realised bit was more humour than serious but I was wondering over. Zach is a character that's for sure. I enjoyed. This a lot to be honest

He plays those cymbals with great technique and then immediately starts trolling, what do you even do as a teacher? no lesson happened that you can criticize. and I learned proper technique from youtube anyway, so idk if you're right.

@@copache It's also from own experience. Some things are hard to bring over in video and it's easier in real life. Some things I think it's almost impossible to bring over through video. You can with the basic technique and patterns, but it's very hard with fine tuning.

Not grooves, basic technique, patterns and so on, but I mean really specific stuff to nail down wear weaknesses are or why things are not working. So often it's something very subtle that needs to change what is almost impossible to bring over through video.
