I think this is the most honest video about the game out there. Since the game got a lot of hate on release, I've just skipped it on GamePass. But now for some reason it's just caught my attention and I've seen mixed reviews about it. I'm giving it a chance coz I tried Redfall and I'm actually enjoying the game, so I thought this might be the same case.

I think the advertising was what killed it. That and the way the devs just gave up on it. The game itself is just too fun for all those people to walk away. I seriously believe if they would have just said ‘inspired by’ instead of spiritual successor, then people would have looked past that and enjoyed it for what it was. But they gave up too soon and you can tell they had more planned. Tala doesn’t even have a zwat skin…..its sad how good it could have been if the devs cared as much as the techland devs

i was doing that right off the bat nightmare mode. but i couldn't get a team together for the missions. so i did maybe 2 or 3 finished missions until i hit a wall and couldn't get any further without good teamates. might download it again today.

Very honest review thank you. Definitely recommend getting the full game. On steam I picked up the game and all dlc for under 10 bucks. Playing with my 3 friends and we enjoy it. Very real about not alot of memorable moments but bar blitz was awesome. There is some cool stuff later in the game.

I can still find players queuing usually take less than 3 minutes(i queue on nightmare/no hope difficulty with all maps checked) but I usually find chinese players 99% of the time. whom I couldn't communicate with so it's been a struggle to discuss strats.(I play on PC/Steam )

If you dont have a strong start to any game its hard to gain that traction back. There are some outliers but games need to released in a well finished state to keep their initial playerbase.

Is not made by the same people, most of the developers of L4D are from Valve, Valve worked on the storyboard, and some features. You can see and read about it, this just just a studio who use L4D as a publicity stunt, but 90% of the work was made by Valve.

There's a lot of misinformation about the development of L4D nowadays thanks to the Crowdcat video, now the community thinks that TRS had a minor participation in L4D... L4D was made from TRS (original team) and Valve finance, published and pulled the game to the release. The only game who was fully developed from Valve was L4D2.

The game joins u with a team in seconds if u que on ‘nightmare’ or ‘no hope’ difficulty. It joins in minutes on the 2nd difficulty ’veteran’. U are playing on the lowest ‘recruit’ difficulty that no one plays on because it is baby easy.

They didn't abandon it. They gave us a full roadmap of all the content they were going to make when they launched the game. They made all that content. They balanced/bug fixed pretty much all of the issues out of the game. They still maintain the servers and occasionally bug fix stuff. What about that is abandoned?

Tbh. The gameplay is the upgrades from L4D for me. Characters, builds, weapons, attachments. Bots can be annoying with their teleport but at least they can use items more than just healing and not waste resources. Pvp in L4D is obviously better but I have no interesting in pvp. But a huge part that I played L4d is modding.

its gr8 for lower difficulties but when u go in hard mode u need real players to finish mission cuz the zombie will destroy the bots fast

Solo play was fine for me, I didn't get the feeling it was terribly hard (given I played on what's the normal difficulty). The main issue from playing solo is I just wished I was playing with friends. The bots are fine but the game is really a co-op game. You can play it solo without major issues.

Solo is fun but u will need to know how to build a good deck for no hope. It is doable in no hope and honestly more difficult with more players if they can’t pull their weight. But you’ll have to take care of the bots yourself to survive in solo.

Entirely different games in terms of feel. WWZ throws an insane amount of zombies at you where as with B4B they throw a lot at you but niot nearly as much. They're both enjoyable in their own right

this game is decent until you play no hope. people saying they dont understand the hate just try no hope. the difficultly to the devs is spam specials and 50 modifiers you cant keep track of and negate so many builds

I think a lot of people just didnt spend enough time with this game. I wonder how many of the people that hated on it ever even made a deck. In the video you say you didnt know about the credits which means you probably didnt know about making decks from the cards too, because earning credits is how you get new cards. And if you did make a deck then maybe that means that you thought you already had all the cards at the time of making it. Either way it think this game will eventually receive the love it deserved. So many games come out as garbage these days and the one game that comes out that's good and also introduces a unique experience with the card system gets hated on. I dont understand it at all.

The main issue with Back 4 Blood is the thing you have been repeating over and over and that they never should have mentioned: Left 4 Dead. If this game was given a different name and didn't try to claim a connection to Left 4 Dead it would have been recieved a lot better. But that is only the first problem. The Deck System shouldn't exist, better to just find perks as you go. Gun Parts for gun to be better only caused players to fight among themselves. The invasion of trolls in online mode that forced them to make offline mode because they didn't want to allow "Kicking". Finally, as it is with most games over the past decade, the death of couch co-op. (I didn't play PvP so I'm not commenting on that) Couch co-op and being able to play 4 players on Lan was so important because it's not enough to hear your friends, you want to see them. Yeah, you can have 4 laptops in the same house but that bandwidth is gonna slow them all down. Online will never truly replace the couch co-op experience.

Well, you played it on Recruit. It's basically a grind fest, there's replayability since each act and stage plays different. If it's on sale, just buy the ultimate edition. $10.
