Druid fantasy is about fighting along nature as equals to serve the spirits, not to fight along the spirits as equals that is far more of a monk fantasy. A druid monk, thanks. I bet theyll add the Paladin in the 3rd last expansion when we fight Diablo. Holy vs Evil. I actually wouldnt mind that. It would be cool if we could choose between light and dark as a paladin. The holy paladin that buffs, or a dark paladin that debuffs. Maybe add transformations and summons. The holy paladin could transform into an angel who summons angels from the heavens and the dark paladin could transform into to a demon who summons demons.

Good to hear your feedback, the little I watched of the reveal mostly made me think the class and that stronghold were looking like "Druid and Delve at home" to me. Glad to hear the class was more interesting than I at least initially thought. you know who also mixes classes? Titan Quest, Grim Dawn, (upcoming)Titan Quest 2, (upcoming)Grim Dawn 2. Heck, Last Epoch(which Diablo is attempting to copy hard right now) has a skilltree for every single skill - talk about build variety! Diablo 4 feels like an ARPG from 20 years ago, yet somehow it's more cookie cutter than it's predecessors - zero innovation other than giving the barb a glorified third inventory slot for weapons. It's embarassing and pathetic alround, the devs are clueless, the company is a soulless husk, and we need to stop giving this game "chances". It's done, _finito,_ Diablo as a franchise is currently dead. Let's hold them accountable and move on, so that we might see actual effort in a potential future installment. Pardon my frustration, I just hate so see what's being done to my favorite franchise. It's funny they said they wanted to do something totally unique, but this feels awfully Druid-esque: forest (jungle in this case) spirit master with 4 distinct playstyles; Fast Melee (werewolf/jaguar); Tank Melee (bear/gorilla); Caster A (earth/centipede); Caster B (wind/eagle). On top of that, some subclasses seem like kind-of-sort-of fill-ins for classics we're missing; Centipede seems Witch Doctor-y, Jaguar seems Monk-ish, Eagle seems pretty unique but vaguely Javazon-esque and Gorilla has a tiny tinge of Thorns pally/crusader going on. but it's still unique *enough* and looks pretty cool... but we're pining hard for some kind of holy class and/or knight-like melee. Maybe they'll throw a curveball and give us Cleric which was supposed to be a D2 class next expac?

I see Crusader in the leap attack AoE, Necro in the lightning bolts returning to you on cast, Sorc with how the Centipede has a very Hydra vibe and all the summons actually, D3 Monk is the glaive some of the moves looked like Dashing Strike and Seven-Sided Strike and of course Witch Doctor (since Teganze is nearby) in the elements chosen, aesthetics even the Unformed Land from which the Spiritborn draws their strength... it's like a literal mashup class with something like something we have so I'm not sure what I take from the class personally

It looks like they added more complexity to the Spirit Born than the other classes. Not too much a bit more than the baseline of the initial game. This was requested by the community (for all the classes) so it is a good initiative. Hopefully they adopt the Spirit Born design mentality to the other classes in the future. I think that would be a great addition.

While I agree, it's really on a small showcase of the new class it's self. DLC is going to have a lot more going on it is, new skills for other classes, new paragon boards, and just new content in general. I do think it would of been nice for blizz to show a bit more of what is going on and they have planned though, and allowed the people they brought out to mess around with more stuff instead of the tiny 2hrs of gameplay got to do. And while D4 has honestly improved and is in a good base state now, well a state it should of been in from day 1. From what I have seen from poe2, yeah it's not really going to stand a chance.

D4 is cooked when poe2 releases, 1 the game is free so it's gonna have more players trying it out, 2 it looks better, and 3 the way they show off new abilities and improvements is just way better than how D4 does it, although that is just my opinion

I'm not super excited for this new class, but the Eagle is definitely the one I'm most interested in trying out. I do appreciate the effort the developers have put into making this class, you could tell they're pretty passionate about it. I can also understand why they'd want to go for something new. There is nothing worse than being bored and unchallenged at work. Sure, they could've went the easy route and done a Paladin, but I can respect their decision from one working human to another.

Diablo MUST create a Vampire Class. 2 Different Playable Versions. A Beefy Bruiser Melee Vampire w/ a big tail AND a Blood Magic Mage Vampire w/ dark auras. They need to continue to think outside the box like Poe and make Classes that are exciting and addicting to play. The Bruiser Vampire story line = he hates Diablo for killing his older Brother. The Mage Vampire story line = he hates Necromancers as seen as rivals. I could come up with so many CLASS ideas....Blizzard hire me already.

I’ll be playing the Spiritborn class no matter what when it comes out. So far, I’ve used all the classes to at least past level 80-100 except for sorcerer. I did do a sorcerer recently for the first time on hardcore to level 50 just to get the achievement, but stopped immediately after the achievement as I don’t care for hardcore.

Oh I straight up don’t use ultimates on any class except for my Necromancer but even then the CD on it doesn’t unlock as fast as I can. I would do an entire overhaul that straight up decreases all the ultimates for all the classes across the board and maybe even add CD reducing additions to existing abilities, maybe in abilities that has heavy resource usage or hefty CD’s themselves. I’m just thinking encouraging ultimate ability usages.
