I very vividly remember a post I saw from the Disney twitter account that had a picture of Cluck hugging Chicken Little and it was captioned “Family is there for you even when the sky was falling” and every single comment was furious and had to remind Disney that cluck is a terrible father, and they were passionate about it. I have a lot of nostalgia for Ace in Action, because it might've been my very first third-person shooter game, if by complete accident. When I was a kid in South Africa, my parents refused to get me a PS2 or any games above PEGI 7+ at the time, so I had to make do with PC games that were within that age limit. Unfortunately, most of the games in South African stores which fit that criteria at the time weren't nearly as notable as what the PS2 had, beyond a whole lot of licensed games. Since I actually liked Chicken Little back then for being one of the first underdog stories I was ever exposed to, I decided to save up a few weeks worth of pocket money for Chicken Little: The Game when I saw it one day in a store. During that time though, my parents were adamant on me learning to ride a bike, so they said they wouldn't allow me to buy the game until I'd done so (still had to pay for it full price, lol). So, it wouldn't be another month or so if I recall until I managed to ride a bike by myself, and finally get their permission to buy the game. Except when I installed it, it turned out that despite it the box art AND the art on the disc saying it was Chicken Little: The Game, the thing that was actually burned onto the disc was Chicken Little: Ace in Action, for some unfathomable reason. I enjoyed it enough though that I never asked my parents to go back to the store and get a refund though, so there's that at least. To this day, I still have this absolute cryptid copy of a game hidden behind my Switch games on my shelf, just because the circumstances to how I got it make it too memorable and weird for me to get rid of it. Also, fun fact I learned from playing way too many licensed games as a kid because of those restrictions, there's a snippet of music from Ace in Action that was kind of shamelessly copy/pasted into the game tie-in for Bolt, that Disney movie about the dog who thinks he has super-powers. I have the game for the Gamecube! It's one of the very few Gamecube games I have (Aside from DDR Mario Mix). The game starts alright, but then gets pretty hard at the end. The game also has a major glitch, where if you die by the lasers in the alien ship stage, you stay dead, meaning you have to reset the game, and start from the beginning.

So fun fact: you see in the cutscenes for Ace in Action that the friend group has a specific controller? I remember having the wii version of this game (which I never completed because that game was NOT meant for Wii controls) and they actually had a Wii controller model for that version of the game. It was really weird seeing the chicken little universe have their own Wiis
