I’m planing to 24v swap an obd1 318is chasis. I usually see people use m50 on obd1 318is and m52 on obd2 318is, is this swap plug and play? I noticed that obd1 318is chasis only have the x20 so what about the x69 and other? Can I do this swap and remain as obd2? Are there any electrical modification Needed to complete the swap? I will be using m52 and it’s harness and sensors

In my opinion your best bet would be to convert the engine to obd1. There is a ton of information out there on how to do. Unfortunately there aren't many people who keep the engine obd2 and put it into an obd1 chassis so information is scarce on how to do it. From the research I've done (which is a fair amount) there is definitely a good chunk of wiring that needs to be done to keep the engine obd2 and to make the swap work well.
