So I know this was from a year ago but how did you manually compress the front struts I’m having the same issue and nobody has been able to fix the problem of them not fitting because they are to small the pinch bolt won’t tighten around them

I'm about to try to fix my radiator doing the same thing but with the JB weld that's meant for hot metal stuff. This video made me feel significantly more confident lol

Cane likes this video. I liked it on his behalf as he is immobile due to his impotence and inability to choose which coilovers he wants for his E36 323i S41 KVJ

Hey! I know Im a little late, but you mentioned a subharness for the crank position sensor thats in the earlier models i think. Do you have any further information on that? Im trying to find out what these plugs are for, would be sick if you could help
@jwsl728Ай бұрын
no, do not trust this. just tried and failed. JB does not hold for it.

Hello Jam drifts or Jamie I doubt you will see this message but I have recently been watching your videos and they are inspiring. I've been fighting a misfire in my e36 for almost a year now and at a loss. I've narrowed it down to the fact the car seems to only register the first fuel bank in the ecu as it was previously turboed, I've tried multiple different tuned ecu's, and everything down to the plugs, multiple crank sensors and all that has been had multiple thrown at it. The whole engine harness was swapped as it didnt have front o2's. The timing was off a tooth and just finished getting done.. and it didnt change the problem, let alone change how the car ran at all. Most of that is all back to stock and it still wont show a second bank which causes an odd misfire under max load after a certain duration, if car is turned off the car will reset and the car could drive without issue until it goes under max load again and after a certain duration but the duration seems to get shorter as the car repeats this and gets hot I think i dont know (but for example trying to push the car through an event it seems to come back quicker). So many channels are so BMW focused and I like the more basic car work style/chill just throwing shit on that works. Bummed to see you dont make videos it seems anymore which is understandable if your not much into drifting anymore, but I hope your doing well if you see this!

Bro your dope as fuck for putting these videos up it's really helping me since I have never swapped a engine. Thank-you!

valve cover note, mine also had the random oil at times even with a gasket replacement at a shop, I ended up replacing the whole valve cover and gasket myself. My valve cover had like micro fractures in the plastic and the oil would basically swet through the fractures. and then found the shop used zero gasket sealer so probably added on to it some

I once used JB on a motorcycle radiator and it never leaked again. I also used it on a motorcycle gas tank and that also never leaked again. I made sure the surfaces were really clean, I think that's the key to it.

Do u have to use a 2-pin connector (16 AWG wire) or can I just wire it directly from the fan wires to the aux fan wires??

You don't have to, it just makes serviceability a whole lot easier.

So I bought a set of Maxpeedingrods Coilovers and they do not have dampnig adjusting. The car rides really rough. Is there a way to fix this?
@jeroenschrooten85864 ай бұрын
Did your instrument cluster work right after the swap or did you need to make some adjustments?
@JamDrifts4 ай бұрын
I had to switch over to a cluster out of a 328i. If I remember correctly, it was because the rpms weren’t reading correctly on the stock 318ti cluster.

When you mentioned that the threads on the coilovers rust I got to thinking, I wonder if you brushed a thin layer of grease all around the threads and then tightly wrapped a couple layers of vinyl wrap around them if that'd keep them from rusting?

I'm asking everywhere i can before taking to much apart on my 92 325is and hope you might be able to answer a question. To replace worn and brittle timing chain guide rails (the one operated by the plunger type tensioner on the side of the cylinder head), do you need to take off the tmobile chain front cover?
@joshuacruz40462 ай бұрын
Did you get your answer ?
@DamonFeyOutdoors2 ай бұрын
Turns out the answer was yes. Thanks for asking. I'm running into another issue after pulling and surfacing the head, and I'm not sure it's worth it to me to keep messing around with it as it seems I may need to remove the engine to work on it or replace it. Thanks again for checking in
