I had planned to also change my rears to Michelins too, used PS 3's in the past and the wet grip is phenominal, I didn't realise you could use the 305 from the 295, THANK !YOU and to prove it also, what a guy!!

On my BMW Z4 M40i i went from 255/35/19 front with 275/35/19 rear to 275/35/19 F and 295/35/19 rear. The new tyres are 7mm taller in the side wall than old which results in a smother ride. The speedo is slightly off but this can be calibrated on the move using the cars inbuilt gps. I went from Michelin Pilot Super Sport to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. This is on new wheels which are 1/2” wider than the old 9/10” I also fitted Eibach springs and had a fast road alignment. The car looks great, handles better, has more traction and is more comfortable than before. Win win win.

Most people go with 265/35 20. They are the same size tires found on the SVR.
@v12-s65 Жыл бұрын
Now before everybody starts bashing against Pirelli some things need to be cleared out. The tire mounted on his F-Type is the over 10 year old previous P Zero generation (release in 2007 if I'm correct). Obviously keeping that in mind the tire needed a major overhaul for a new gen and that would be the P Zero PZ4 which is a much newer tire and also comes in many different variations. (tyre reviews best UHP for the dry only was the P Zero PZ4) People tend to think about the P Zero as just one tire, but there are 30 different variants including specifications making each one unique. Newer F-Type models usually come with the newer PZ4, a far superior tire. Now the Michelin PS4s is a great tire, one of the best since over 5 years and still going on. Out of the performance tires it has an overall superb performance compared with a long thread life. However, not sure if I missed it, but the PS4s comes in 295/30 R20 dimension? Not sure why you would have gone for 305, the 10mm difference is almost non noticeable. Sizing up might come with some problems, for example: My car has 245/35 R20 & 275/30 R20 tires. If I wanted to upsize to 21s I would need to go for 295/25 and 255/30 because no tires available in other sizes. Keep in mind your speedo shows less because the wheel diameter would now become larger. But mostly as shown 10mm won't make a difference Also if you mess around with the front/rear axle ratio it could start to fool your abs, because the two axles spin at a very different time, tricking the system when braking. Now for 305 rear I would recommend upsizing to 265 front to keep that ratio almost the same. However now this small change shouldn't be a big deal

Just bought a brand new 2023 P450 RWD this past weekend. I did see at the dealership they had the 2023/2024 R which had the 305/30/20. MIne have the 295/30/20. I believe they all come standard with the Pirelli P Zeros. I have not driven the car that much yet to be able to know a difference but I have read other reviewers say that the Michelin are better. I am in California so not much rain out here.

Having changed the rear tyres to a different size will change the rolling radius which in turn could damage the 4 wheel drive system and cost thousands of pounds in repairs!.😢

Love the channel and videos! Sorry if I missed this, but do you have adapters/spacers on your F-Type? The fitment looks like you might? I have a 2015 wit the same wheels and and debating adding 17mm all around (smallest width that does not require hub thread modification)...

It’s crazy how much of a difference there can be between those 2 tires, but everyone out there seems to be saying the same thing, so it must be true. Makes me wonder if I should just change them out when new if I end up getting a new F-type….Try and sell the original tires when basically new while they are in theory worth something…Or are they worth anything?1? lol…Good video
