What a CRAZY RACE. This week I traveled all the way to Baltimore Maryland to run a tune-up half marathon. The course was challenging but the race itself was extremely fun. We did end up taking a little detour but overall it was a great effort. 5 WEEKS UNTIL THE VALENCIA MARATHON!!!

6:40 one tip that my coach who was a olympian for team USA always pushed for us wearing compression gear, like full or 3/4 tights and a compression shirt on flights or long car rides, helps immensely to get the legs feeling fresh after the flight. for shirts its more optional/preference but they help a lot too, hope this helps love the content man

Hey man my biggest problem in the past has been sleep because I’m a person that try’s to sleep around the same time everyday so for me what has helped a lot for me is that I live in southern Ohio so eastern standard time and if I’m traveling to a place say that’s in mountain standard time the whole week before I’m going to go to sleep two hours earlier and wake up two hours earlier so when I get to my destination my internal clock is in a good spot it has helped me a lot hopefully this helps btw your videos are awesome keep up the hard work!

Great race!!!! Keep up the training for Spain. And about getting lost...the Baltimore Orioles got lost this season. It happens. Question...I'm thinking of getting the Novablast 5. Do you know about it? Here are some tips for coping with a transatlantic flight: Adjust your sleep schedule: In the days before your flight, try to adjust your sleep schedule to match the time of day you'll be flying. For example, if your flight is during the day, be well rested before you fly. Prepare for jet lag: When you arrive at your destination, try to get out and enjoy some fresh air and daylight. You can also try drinking caffeine during the day and managing your exposure to light. Bring comfort items: Bring a pillow, blanket, sleep mask, noise-canceling headphones, or earplugs. You can also bring something to comfort you and ease your fears, like a toy or book. Stay busy: Download movies and podcasts ahead of time. You can also try practicing your Spanish. Stretch and walk around: Stretching and walking around can help you feel more comfortable. Hydrate: Stay hydrated and rehydrate throughout your flight. Very important!!!! Expect turbulence: Transatlantic flights are known for experiencing turbulence due to unpredictable ocean weather. The seat belt sign will likely be turned on frequently. You are going to have your best time in Spain!!!! Mel K.

If you feel heavy after traveling, then I'd recommend you try using fireflys during travel. It basically electrically stimulates your legs to increase bloodflow.

Yo bro I have a question for you. How do you know what you were running on the treadmill for your PM sessions is actually threshold? I have the EXACT same treadmill at my gym that I use for easy running but never think to do workouts on it cause it seems too inaccurate. Are you using a separate measurement like HR or effort to determine the familiar pace? Cause also the MPH on the treadmill is hella inaccurate as what it says it is for my easy runs is far too fast given how easy they are!
@neeque1

You can see what I mean if you run at 9.9 MPH (6:04/mile) it certainly is not 6:04 through the mile

I gather once you determined you could not get 2nd and securely had 3rd place, you stopped racing, went into training & cruise mode? You gave up racing at some point, the dead giveaway is your ability to engage in full on conversation almost immediately after crossing the finish line, lack of a significant hyperventilation beyond a good training run. It's very clear that you are not tired in crossing that finish line. Notice runner with bib #50263 (who beat you) at 12:33 is 'spent', leaning over and exhausted. He went hard and that's what going hard looks like. Contrast that with your finish, you're not spent at all, no need to lean downward or backward, you finished but you did not go hard and it's right there in video to see. You are better than this. If you're going to race, race to win, I think you can. Good luck
