I wanted to shake the car down and get some seat time since it's a new race car to me, without a chance of wrecking it or ruining the points race for someone else on a dirt oval track, so we took it Rally Racing! That's right, a custom-built, go fast left, dirt track car, on a grass & dirt field SCCA rallycross track! Wrong setup, wrong tires, but boy was it a blast! PLUS as a bonus, we drove it through a car show in town!

I've been taking care of my dad for the past 2 weeks to give my brother and his wife a much needed break from being his caregiver. Unfortunately, my dad's mobility is limited so he just sits in front of the TV most of the day watching the news. Being a new subscriber, and originally from MN (Burnsville to be exact), I played all of your videos for my dad over the past weeks and he loves them. She's not the fastest, and not the smoothest ride, but hot DAMN does she sound GREAT. A guy really would like to see a perspective from the outside, just mowing grass and sliding all over. I think it should be a Goodwood car, where it looks cool, but its still runs a race or two. I love seeing people still giving old cars the onions and seeing what tech was like when they were in their heyday.

I'm all about this channel! There's lots of shows on here about taking old rides out of barns and fields, but a guy doesn't seem take himself too seriously, and is just a down to earth kind of feller, with 2 boys just like myself. Had my boys out in the driveway turnin wrenches with me last weekend, and making our neighbors hate us. It's what it's all about! 🇺🇸 I like the idea of puttin the old girl back on the road. You can always take a street legal car off-road, but you can't take an off-road car cruisin up the road unless you'd like to support your local law enforcement agency, which I'm all for, because those guys and gals in uniform deserve to have a nice cook-out once in a while. You might as well save those funds for other projects. Keep those videos comin! Thanks

You really wrestle that beast around the track. Field autocross is great since it's easy to see the course. Thanks for Isanti car show footage! My vote goes to making the car road worthy, clean it up some, and drive it to shows. It's a story machine which is sometimes just as fun as racing it.

You already know what your hands and feet are going to do in the next bar, think ahead to the bar after that. Its looking to me like you're focused on the current turn, where you already see it and know what you're about to do. My late father managed Bayfield electric for over 35 years. He lived in iron river wi since 1984. Me and him have been at several unknown salvage yards up in that area. I showed my stepmother that you are restoring and she remembers exactly where that car was and who that driver was. Anyway my dad was exactly like you. The car he was starting to restore was a 1955 dodge convertible. He found it with the garage collapsed around it. Cut the garage away and just put oil in the heads to start to see 👀 if he could free it up. Unfortunately his time expired before he could finish it. But he saved several cars up there from being crushed. Not new cars mainly cars from the 50's to late 60's. So please keep up the great job and I always look forward to watching your next car you're going to work on next. It really brings back great memories. Buy the way my dad was restoring a 1949 Cadillac when we found a Cadillac in the woods that hadn't been ran for over 30 years. We ran around the salvage yard found sparkplug wires from other cars hot wired it, and poured gas down the carb and believe it or not it ran. My dad put it in his 1949 with oil change and both valve cover gaskets and drove it for 6 years before he sold it. Sorry to be so lengthy but I figured you would get a kick out of that. Anyway piece and keep up the good work. Eric Melchiors can't wait for your next video.

I'm with the Emmett Lion's Club in Emmett, Idaho and we have a big show and shine each year on the 3rd Saturday in July. We also shut down the main drag and do a classic cruise for 3 hours in town (Emmett Show and Shine and Emmett Cruise Night). This year our numbers were down due to COVID but we still had around 600 cars in the show and over 400 cruising. I know it'd be a long haul but you and your family are invited next year!
