My suggestion for your next video would either be ranking every enemy in all the games or if you need a break from the super long projects than maybe ranking your top 10 lore characters in soulsborne

I just want to compliment your writing. Unlike many other youtubers, it doesnt seem like you add researched words for the sake of sounding smart. You clearly have an extensive grasp of the english language. You use a very varied vocabulary without sounding pretentious at all. And you can listen to your description of the areas and create a fairly accurate picture in your mind. You are also very talented when it comes to narration, you never get boring even during a 5 hour video. PS. I noticed a series of alliterations when you were talking about a bloodborne area at ~3h10 mark. Was that intentional? You've earned yourself a new subscriber. Good stuff my friend.

Aw man, what a nice comment haha. Thanks a lot for saying all that mate; means a lot that you like my writing. The total script-length for this video was around 63,000 words long and I tried hard to keep my writing engaging and entertaining! And about the alliterations, yep, I do like to throw them in every now and then. They can be a bit cheesy, but they can also make the narration sound more fun and fluid I think haha

Great list overall. The top 3 almost feel like basic picks, but there’s a reason they’re so iconic and I just find it’s impossible to leave any of the three outside the top 10 if not top 5. I was really surprised that Fishing Hamlet was so low, and expected Fountainhead to be much higher too. I’d put both of them top 10 at least, but also I can see where they fail. Fishing Hamlet was pretty frustrating on my first time through, especially that stretch right at the beginning where you don’t get a lamp for a long time. I just really grew to love the area and how much exploration is available; it has a bit of everything Bloodborne has to offer. A branching side path for a blood rock, brutal enemies like the sharks and winter lanterns, a hidden weapon that you can only get from a super difficult fight, open level design with room to explore, linear paths at other times, and just a ton of difficulty. I feel similarly about Fountainhead; a lot of brutal enemies and fighting, but you can get through with some stealth, and there’s so much room for exploration once you kill the guy shooting lightning at you. It’s also visually beautiful and so peaceful to play through. Sekiro is underrated in its level design. Bloodborne and Elden Ring really showcase FromSoft’s brilliance. Elden Ring just has so many ambitious levels like Stormveil, Volcano Manor, Crumbling Farum Azula, and Leyndell, all of which just blow your mind constantly. The way you find hidden paths, items, hidden areas, you almost feel overwhelmed, but never truly feel lost. It’s honestly incredible how FromSoft managed to give so much content in such a presentable way, and the visuals are beautiful. Bloodborne’s appeal is in its art design and ability to use its space. The areas are not as ambitious or expansive as Elden Ring, nor as graphically appealing, but it makes up for the graphics in its art design, and has zero wasted space in each level. Central Yharnam has a million things to do. The DLC levels, especially Research Hall, have so much environmental storytelling. Cathedral Ward and Forbidden Woods masterfully connect the world together, and then there’s levels like the Nightmares or Mergo’s Loft that just feel like pure enemy gauntlets.

This video was great background audio while working! Here are a few things I thought about as I was watching just based on my own opinion :) -I love tomb of the giants! Sad to see it so low. It's so memorable and extremely scary especially if it's your first time playing a souls game. I love how they tease it in the Catacombs with the single encounter with the giant skeleton. And I LOVE how you can go down to it early in the game without the lordvessel, it feels like an epic quest to unlock one of the best miracles in the game early (Wrath of the Gods) while underleveled and then climbing your way back out from the bottom after grabbing a bonfire. The fact that you can see demon ruins and later ash lake from it is also a really cool way to tie the world together. At the very least I think it's significantly better than Chasm of the Abyss -Iron keep being ranked relatively high hurts my soul. That place is cheap difficulty incarnate, the only redeeming quality is its visuals in my opinion. -Upper Latria (or Latria in general as I consider it all one level, but that's just semantics) is my favorite level in the whole series. The aeshetic is the brand of gothic horror that I addore, and the atmosphere is the best I've seen in any of the games in the series. The elevator ride to the bottom also feels like a quiet descent into hell. -I was surprised to see Deeproot Depths so high. The area is so open that it feels directionless to me, and there's no new enemies or architecture, just more ruins that look like the ones found in the overworld. -Awesome to see Blighttown so high, that level is infamous for all the right reasons. I love all the variety in it and the fact that you can do the level backwards and it still works

I personally love how damn difficult Blighttown is because it adds so much to the experience and the overbearing horror it exudes. I just think it works so well with the way it fucks with you and makes you feel as if you are descending into an inescapable spiral into chaos (no pun intended with the chaos flame ridden areas proceeding it lmao) and terrifying despair. It's almost like a mirror to how the story feels as you delve deeper into it and uncover more about it you feel as if you are going down a spiral into chaotic despair and the inescapable grip of darkness of it's story that makes you feel powerless as you soon learn that no characters will have a happy ending, especially Seigmeyer and his daughter along with Solaire who gets afflicted with the Chaos Parasite and has to be killed. You uncover more dark and disturbing parts of the story as you go on further through the game and the descent into Blighttown and also The Depths really mirror that spiral that you take in the story.

Love your videos bro I actually really love the nightmare frontier even tho I’ve lost many blood echoes there. The layout may be complex but a moment that stuck out for me was when I managed to get to the end of one of the poison cave systems with a winter lantern at the end with no hope of ever getting back to discover some extra hidden items. Absolutely love the boss at the end as well. I think the reason I appreciate it so much tho is due to it truly feeling like a nightmare.

Loving these videos, but just an idea for the future: I was thinking maybe you could go through the levels chronologically from Demon Souls up until Elden Ring, talk about each level, then at the end give a final verdict as to which tier it falls into? I’m not sure if this would be more or less work for you, I was just thinking it’s convenient for those of us who haven’t played every game (I’ve played 4/7), and generally skip over levels/bosses that we haven’t played yet. It’d be nice if I could just watch the games I’ve played before easily. But either way works and the video was great regardless!
