Though I did go a touch deeper and added some stuff myself that were not searchable on PC Part Picker. This guy harassing you has no grounds what so ever. Fight the good fight man! Edit: Another user pointed out that the RGB Strip kit came with 4 strips, thought I priced the single strip kit before so here is the updated link. Also rewatched the dudes origional posting and tried to match it closer to what he described on craigslist pcpartpicker.com/list/jLzP4q Even so this does drop the price to $4100, further driving the point that the craigslist poster was gouging prices even further.

4k Ultrawide...no wonder his asking price is 6k This dude has monitors that hasnt even been invented yet.
@Psyrecx
@Psyrecx 6 жыл бұрын
5ean 5ean Depends on what you consider 4K. 4K typically refers to the horizontal pixel density. Technically it's 4K, but it's not what most people think of when saying 4K. Hell, Samsung makes a '4K' monitor that only has a 1080 vertical PD. And it's not exactly cheap.
@CGoody564
@CGoody564 6 жыл бұрын
Psyrecx 4k uhd is 3840x2160. UW is 3480x1600. 4k UHD or UW4k is EXACTLY what people mean when they say 4k. They do NOT mean 4096x2160, which is DCI 4k, also known simply as 4k technically speaking. That being said, absolutely no one who is a regular consumer is referring to this when they say 4k. Only those who are in the film and video production industry (I don't mean KZbin, as KZbin has adopted 4k UHD as their standard "4k") or those who have massive home theaters with screens that aren't far away from the seating use this in any capacity. Is it technically the only true 4k? Sure. But absolutely no regular consumer or even small time producer is referring to this when they say 4k. They are most certainly referring to 4k UHD or UW4k.
@5ean5ean22
@5ean5ean22 6 жыл бұрын
When I think of 4k ultrawide it needs to have more pixels horizontally than the 16:9 vatiant. 3840 x 1600 isnt 4k ultrawide.....its slightly better 1440p Ultrawide. If we are talking about a true upgrade over 16:9 4k then the resolution should be closer to 5k horizontally while maintaining 2160 vertical pixels. So I will say it again 4k Ultrawide doesnt exist becuase it isnt better or offer an advantage over 4k 16:9....unless you want less pixels and less pixel density.
@Psyrecx
@Psyrecx 6 жыл бұрын
Cory Goodman What something is commonly referred to as, and actually is are two different things. Just because something isn't commonly referred to as something, doesn't mean it isn't. Also, just because you in particular don't do something, doesn't mean no one does. You're not the center of the universe. Any display resolution with a horizontal pixel density at or near 4,000 pixels is technically 4K, it didn't matter what your opinion is of it is. 4K still refers to the horizontal pixels and you cannot change that. A decent example of this is, Samsung's CHG90 monitor. It's listed as being 4K, and guess what it's resolution is...
@5ean5ean22
@5ean5ean22 6 жыл бұрын
Psyrecx No.....That Samsung monitor is 1080p. No one refers to the Asus PG34AQ as a 3440 monitor... its a 1440p. 4k is a resolution *Both vertical and horizonral....not a label. The standard for 4k is 3840 x 2160.....if you dont meet that standard then you are not 4k. Its the same reason why Xbox One X upsacling isnt 4k. 3840 x 1600 thinks its 4k then 1. It comes up short on the pixels 2. It completely misses the point of why people buy ultrawide in the first place....having a larger aspect ratio. That monitor just stretches the image instead of showing off more of the sides. So in conclusion...youre 100% wrong. Im not interested in this marketing speech. If Samsung tries to sell you a 1080p monitor and market it as 4k tell them "Im not stupid, thats a 1080p 32:9 monitor."

"Just here to entertain offers" - they say after specifying an outrageous "$6K firm cash only" stipulation. "Buy yourself a pre-built system for 300 and have it break in 14 months and cry" they say as if pre-built systems are actually that fragile. Or as if $300 is somehow so inferior to their hyper-inflated garbage. At $300 you at least have a working system that for most people is inexpensive enough to be replaced in two years or so to keep up with things later, or to be super thrifty with used hardware and get a pretty decent performer on a budget. Also his stupid response about running an AMD unit as if that was automatically a bad thing, somehow. Dunno if he's heard, but Ryzen is pretty damn competitive. This guy sounds like a colossal dickhole.

@@-_pi_- IDK what you think I assume but I have built computers for years and fully understand how they function and age. Yet lets say I am totally ignorant for the sake of your argument and I had the option to buy a brand new in box ( shrink wrapped and untouched ) GPU for ( let's say ) $200 which was its MSRP. Then I saw someone selling that same GPU used for who knows how long ( it would be ignorant to believe what someone is saying online. They just want your money ) also for $200. Even some one new to computers can tell that is a bad deal. Parts can age and be abused in many ways. Warranties are not always a given on used parts either. When I buy used it better at the very least be 10% lower than new before I even think of purchasing it.

The craziest thing for a machine at this price is that the system was built by somebody in private. Of course he most likely knows what he was doing with that kind of hardware. But you still don't know how he really built it, since he's done it at at home. Some of the components could be damaged or slowly dying already and if something happens you're pretty much screwed - private seller, no warranty. I really don't like these PC configuration shops where you can create your system and let them build it for you. However, they're most certainly building in a professional environment, test the PC and provide a warranty. They're still going to charge you way too much money for it but no 2000$ and you'll get at least some kind of service.

I just put this together on Newegg including a copy of windows 10, an rtx 2080 ti, an Asus 34" $900 monitor and it's less than $3700. I went down to my local pc repair shop and asked what they would charge to build this and they said $300 if I ordered everything and didn't forget something that would make their job more difficult. This brought the total cost of the system to $4000 with much better hardware but sticking to the posts specifications. The 1080ti is unavailable from major retailers so I upgraded my build to a 2080ti and I put the nicest 34" RoG monitor I could find in the price. The Razer Naga Epic Chroma is a mouse and I'm pretty sure it was a mistake in the listing. Had the PC shop ordered all of the parts and included their warranty they would have charged $4200 plus local sales tax. So this guy is asking for an extra $1800 for a pc with outdated hardware. I don't know any SI that would mark up a pc that much without including custom water cooling for the cpu and gpu and custom sleeved cables and even then it still would have only brought the price to about $4800. If this was a truly one of a kind rig in a case-labs case that you can't get any more, with a custom paint job, and unique custom water cooling I might be able to understand the $6000 price tag but not in the state that is listed in the add.

You gave him a LOT of slack there in the prices bro. You can buy his GPU, which is a Super Clock 1080Ti based on the two fans instead of three, for around 750 to 800. Plus the RAM he has looks like GEIL to me, which would be around 100 less than the Dom Plats. Im glad he took down the ad. I didnt want anyone to fall for that and he def doesnt deserve the payday after being such a tool.

Pardon me if I correct you Greg but that GPU is the SC2 version and not the FTW3. The SC2 has 2 fans and cost less than the 3 fans FTW3.

I watched 2 time your video and definetely I can confirm that the GPU si indeed a 2 fan card. In the first place I thought it was a 3 fan card too but after a closer inspection I realized it was the SC2. Anyway the all this leads to another confirmation about what you think: this guys asks HUGE amount of money for the hadrware he showcased. As if now one just shows off a bit of RGB and voilà extra 500 bucks :P

I have a prebuilt pc right now, its over 5 years old, and 2 years ago I took my motherboard, and hard drive and put it in a bigger case, and stuck a galaxy geforce GTS 450 in it, and it runs most games at low - medium graphics settings at an average of 20-30 FPS, which is playable, but not the best

This video is hilarious. I can't tell you how many computer systems I've given away to family and friends, all for nothing - zilch - zero cash. The CL guy said "build your own." Today I just built my own(once again) from spare parts I had accumulated and it's out of here soon - for free. Within the past few days I've been ordering computer parts for my wife's _new_ computer. I don't buy new computer _stuff_ often, so I better live it up while I can. I'll move her current optical drive, and almost new PSU. 3 monitors, speakers, mouse, and keyboard to her new build. I'll then scavenge her leftover parts from her current beast and make another computer that will freely once again go to a good home. Of course I'll replace those scavenged parts with used parts from my stash. All at zero cost to me. I'm not tooting my own horn. It's just that when I see guys like this CL builder try to steal from people - I get bothered! I've seen computers built that cost tens of thousands of dollars and those are so extravagant that I couldn't even begin to comprehend them. This guy's measly $6000 computer can't hold a candle to them.Those builds I mentioned _actually_ had that high a dollar amount of parts. Like the fellow here said, "...he could build one for half that price." For all that's in this DisgraceBook and CL advert, half that price is about right. FYI - RAM/Memory and Graphics Cards are coming down drastically in price. Now's the time to consider actually forking out your hard earned dough to buy a Graphics Card and RAM. It took long enough, but I just did. ;O) _Science Studio_ by you posting this particular advert you have probably saved somebody from buying this overpriced, over-dressed beast. Keep up the good work. I know you will get these particular types of videos demonetized, but you seem to be able to live with that fact and you are still willing to rub KZbin the wrong way - my hat goes off to you Sir, Thank You!! If you were to claim that Satan was selling this computer or this computer is used in spirit cooking, your video probably wouldn't have been demonetized! As always: Praise The Lord and Godspeed to you all - 1 John 5:10-13!!

Tony C. You should give me one! My shitty laptop can't even run fortnite with a nvidia 940 mx dammit! I wish, but I'm saving up to build my first pic with a ryzen and a 1060 GeForce! QUESTION: could I install old OS like windows 7 and still upgrade it? I'm really new to all this
@tonyc.8004
@tonyc.8004 6 жыл бұрын
_B Will_ I'm sorry to read about your computer problems and I've been where you're at before. I'm surprised the nvidia 940 will not run Fortnite? I would recommend for you to replace it with a desktop that YOU built. To find build guides and see what a countless group of builders accomplished then visit PCPartPicker. There is wealth of information there along with more Completed Builds than you can read about plus there is a forum you can get speedy replies to your questions from the whole computer builder community. There is also a database of new parts types and prices. You can even test build you a system to check for things like compatibility issues, determine parts conflicts, prices, power supply wattage requirements and more. PCPP is a straight forward website that will walk you through all phases of computer building and they have building guides here on KZbin too as well as on their website. If I understand your question about using Windows 7 and then upgrading? When I built my newer Windows 10 system I did a fresh install of Windows 10 instead of adding my then current Windows 7 to the new build and then upgrade to Windows 10(upgrade as opposed to completely new install). From what I've heard, Microsoft will not allow you to upgrade from Windows 7/8/8.1 anymore unless you check the box that you says you have health reasons where an upgrade to Windows 10 will help you. I forgot that 'exact' requirement, but as of last month I know about somebody who made an upgrade to Windows 10 just by using their Windows 7 key. They checked that box and then downloaded Windows 10. This is NOT my own personal experience, but it is something worth considering. From the computer building aspect, manufacturers are telling you to use Windows 10, but you can use an older version, you just have to do more work to get your new system to work properly with Windows 7. Something like using specific other drivers instead of the normal(easiest) ones you would use for Windows 10. Everybody is saying Microsoft has paid-off manufacturers to use only their pride and joy Windows 10. Still, I've seen others accomplish new builds using Windows 7. As for giving one of my spares away, since posting in this comments section I have been forced to fall back to that spare parts machine due to a defective DDR4 MSI motherboard. Instead of sending me a new replacement, MSI kept my defective board to make repairs and that has about a 2 month projected turn around time and that leaves me using my spares for the moment - sorry! I guess it's good that I had a spare? Sorry to be so long in your response, but you needed more information than a short response would provide. Before you build ask a lot of questions and look at other builds then determine what you need to buy and what is involved with building a computer. Computer building may seem difficult, but it is not and when you build your own computer you can save a boatload of money and then you will have a much better machine than a retail computer and YOU built it. You will make mistakes and even veteran builders still make mistakes, but it will not be anything you can't handle and when you do run into a problem then ask the PCPP community for help. I've seen that they're always ready to help from novice to veteran builders. I hope this helps! Praise the Lord and Godspeed to you all - Psalm 32:8!!

I buy and sell used parts on craigslist but I don't and won't sell fully built system on there for obvious reasons. Sometimes I've had to help people set up the parts I sold them, and selling a fully built system to someone who's tech illiterate a system would be worse. Another thing that gets me about this type of thing is the buyer would be FAR BETTER OFF buying a system from Origin, Xidax, etc because these companies offer a warranty and technical support after the sale is completed. The $6k Craigslist system is being sold AS-IS.... no Warranty. If the motherboard dies within 3 months then it's the buyer's responsibility to pay for the replacement of the board. For example, I had a Crosshair VII Hero board that started failing after it was 6 weeks old, and I had to send the board back to Asus twice before they replaced it. At least Asus didn't ask for an invoice, even though I bought the board from B&H Photo. Furthermore, most of these companies reserve the warranty to the original buyer/owner of the component, so you'll need an invoice if you want to process an RMA. Even EVGA changed their warranty terms to 2nd hand buyers last May. I could go buy a Corsair AX1500i or AX1600i from someone on craigslist, but if it breaks then I'm SOL. The only option here is you can humbly ask for an RMA anyway, and some companies like MSI have been known to make an exception. People really need to read the warranty terms before assuming they're covered under the warranty because it says 3 years.
