@@lunamoon-xk2us basically, in shakespeare’s times, the female characters were played by boys. in twelfth night, the main character (viola, a girl) pretends to be a man to get a job and safety. in this commentor’s school production, the girl actor played the role a boy actor would play and the role is of a girl character playing a boy (does that make sense?)

the way the timeline works in "We Used to be Friends" is exactly like the timeline in the contemporary musical "The Last Five Years". The musical is about a failed marriage and the wife's story starts from the end and the husband's story starts from the beginning. The only time the timelines meet is during their proposal and wedding and that's the only time the actors are on stage together the entire show. It's truly an incredible story and if you like the concept of the forwards backwards timeline this is a beautiful example of it!

If you would like to enjoy a really great use of the dual perspective/dual timeline, you should listen to The Last Five Years broadway soundtrack. About a couple, one perspective starting at the beginning of their relationship and the other starting at the end, the characters meeting in the middle at their wedding. It is marvellous!!

I haven't personally read "we used to be friends" but it sounds very similar to "the last five years". It's a musical following a five year relationship and it also follows two different timelines. One of the wife from the end of the relationship to the beginning and the other from the husband from the beginning to when he leaves her.

I absolutely love all the 'celebrity book club' videos!! So... there's this artist who's basically kpop's resident librarian (👀--) named Kanghyun and he's in a kpop band called ONEWE.
