I'm in, I'm invested! One thing all Renegades regret is that we can never watch these videos for the first time again so we live vicariously through reactors doing it lol. This channel feels special partly because you've never done reactions before and, while I love hearing expert opinions on the lyricism, musicality, psychology, cinematography etc you're just like us simply getting blown away. No need to articulate anything, it's just a pleasure watching Ren have the same impact on you as he has me/us. We'll join you every night and more will come I promise, don't try to please us, just keep reacting honestly even if there are no words, we totally get that. I really do think that I Shot The Sheriff/ Road to Zion/ Hip Hop will serve you well next (tomorrow night, please, please, please lol) but can't wait for whatever you choose. Welcome to the Reniverse 🫶

You have passed the "Jenny and Screech" reaction initiation, and you did an admirable job of ranting about why Ren isn't more well known to the general public! Take heart about three things: 1) Ren is independent, so he can do whatever he wants, creatively. 2) He's still reaching far corners of the world, like the New Mexican desert where I live. And 3), he has attracted the notice and praise of some pretty influential people, like Andrew Lloyd Webber, Russell Crowe, Elton John, Sinead O'Connor (R.I.P.), to name a few. Enjoyed your emotional reaction, and subbed!

Fair warning Ren does a lot of deep stuff (no one can make you cry like Ren). Now that you're in the rabbit hole just know that if it gets too deep there are plenty of light, funny, naughty, and just bangers to listen too so spread them out if needed. You listen, you comment on both what you see and hear and you don't talk over the music, to quote Arnie... "I'll be back".

You’re just as gobsmacked as all of us were when we heard these songs the first time. That’s why we watch these-because we can never experience it the first time again. Now you know why he calls his stuff “Bard core.” This is a Shakespearean tragedy in 3 acts. Enjoying watching you, Sam! Have a great day!

Mind blowing, right? I love how you have to reach the end of the "tales" to fully appreciate its beginning. Jenny was a 14-year-old girl walking London streets wearing high heels with "rosey" on her cheeks and she wanted to escape the thousand times she walked that ground. Yeah, do the math. Going in the first time we don't see the full tragedy from our first impressions of the cycle until we cycle back with what we learn. Wheels within wheels. Thanks for another good reaction and I'm looking forward to more from you. You are very relatable, likable and well suited to experience Ren's depth

Great reaction, thank you for sharing it with us! Much of Ren's music is quite visceral and evocative... If you're not feeling something when you're discovering it you're not human ❤️ As for recommendations, I really enjoyed the live versions of How To Be Me and Chalk Outlines. Power and Patience are more uplifting. You can't go wrong with Hunger, Animal Flow or Genesis. He also just dropped a new one by Prof that he features on called Pain Salesman. Seven Sins is about his relationship with chronic pain and other debilitating symptoms he's experienced from Lyme's Disease that went undetected and misdiagnosed for over a decade. Humble is a another great song that should be on the radio and is often overlooked. I think the next natural choice would be Sick Boi... It gives you a great idea of his struggle with chronic illness and trauma that's caused by the medical system. Whichever direction you choose to go you won't be disappointed. They're all vastly different in style and brimming with musicianship! Ren continues to amaze and inspire. Buckle up and happy exploring! 🫶

I'm in for the journey down the rabbit hole! I did something I don't think I've done before ... I'm watching on my phone and you were such a small percentage of the screen, I zoomed in on you to see your reaction. I've seen The Tales themselves so many times, I didn't need to see the screen to know every nuanced facial expression of Ren, but I wanted to see you. I think you captured the visual version of the old saying, "If you want someone to listen, whisper." Lol. Perhaps you could come closer to the camera or make your part of the screen a little bigger? It may seem odd to you, but when we watch reaction videos, I think many of us are waiting to see if you react the same way we did, we experience our first time watching it all over again! Don't worry about getting tongue-tied! I'd wager that every one of us here stumbles over our words when we first fall in love! 😅 As for his one-take performances, I think he'd be awesome on Broadway or in the West End. We all needed that “moment” to process all that happened. The generational trauma is so real. Violet being meek and demure as well as Jenny. Violet’s father being a violent rapist, Stevie being the same and passed down to Screech. Realizing that Jenny and Screech never knew each other because of Violet dying and the father in jail for murdering her. Yet their fates were intertwined. It’s a modern day Shakespearean tragedy. Unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

Appreciate your reaction to this song. This is a VERY SAD tale; But, what I LOVE the MOST about "The Tale of Jenny and Screech" is that in the end it points out that Jenny and Screech were siblings. This gave me insight into Ren's compassion for humanity and the recognition of how wrong violence is. It should not be this way. We are all brothers and sisters. We are divine spiritual beings in mortal bodies. We should treat each other as such. Jenny and Screech grew up in the foster system so that they didn't know they were siblings. But, if we're taught like we should be taught that we are ALL BROTHER and SISTERS! That is the way we should ALL treat each other! This is what I like about this song. Hopefully, one day we will all know this. "Every so often there comes an artist that says things on a certain level that just resonates." Like Oliver Anthony? (I admit that Ren is OA x100 in a good way. OA did six months of suffering compared to at least six years of hellacious suffering for Ren. They both are prophets, in my opinion. But, I started on the OA rabbit hole before Ren. I love them, both.) Can't wait for your reaction to Ren's video, "Eden". Just curious on your take. Have a nice day!
