Wd -40 is not a good lubricant, if was made to displace water. Get a quality rubber seal conditioner to lubricate fork seals.

No WD40 wasn't made to displace water, it's a chemical solution made to remove RUST.Oil and wax displaces water. You're right on the rest you said!! WD 40 isn't an oil it's a metal eater, a chemical solution that "eats" oxidized metal (rust)

WD-40 is a mix of two fundamental opposites, oil and solvent, the oil's job is to lubricate while the solvent effectively destabilizes the oil preventing it from effectively doing it's job, it's a great cleaner but it's a horrible lubricant.

I only use little crude oil ( spoonful is enough) for my chain and hydraulic etc by brushing w toothbrush, after it was cleaned brush ( toothbrush) w liquid detergent and let it totally dry..

El de la corbata, para recuperar un cable desgreñado, muy bueno, nunca lo había pensado, y claro, en lo sucesivo evitar dejar algún cable sin esa útil terminal selladora sin la cual no duran mucho sin desgreñarse horriblemente. En cuanto al empleo del WD 40 en la horquilla, muy buena idea, sólo diría que tener cuidado en no causar con el bisel de la aguja algún pequeño rasgamiento en los retenes, pues se acelerará su fin.

WHAT THE HELL?!?! My eyes are hurt!!! 1. The tape on the chain?? There are good washers and you can use them repeatedly instead of the tape, my godness. 2. Needle to the washers? maybe good for your prehistoric fork, but please, who have more advanced fork and shock dont follow this advice to avoid damage on your upper legs and the coating. I will not comment WD-40 style for this, so many people here already wrote how inappropriate it is. 3. cable end fix - ok, why not 4. last tip with rubber around head - so useless, only additional dust collector and extra weight PLEASE remove this video to avoid people will damage their forks and shocks.
