@nickels5695 To be fair, you're still safer unplugging it when you don't need it so don't feel bad for doing that when you aren't using it. The auto shut off is a good feature for when you fall asleep or you do somehow forget and then regardless of it never failing and causing problems, you're not wasting power or heat when you don't need it. So it's win-win! 😊

what's really cool about Deli's apartments here is it's really demonstrative of something I've hear referred to as "multi-class" apartments - basically to prevent areas of a city becoming overly gentrified, or saturated with low income citizens, is to create buildings that have a range of sizes and budgets so that the local hub benefits from a shared pool of wealth. Basically, your wealthier inhabitants will bring in more revenue which can support infrastructure such as better schools, community centres and so on that are hard to fund when you build with only one "class" or socioeconomic range in mind. These are more common in EU than Aus/USA and other western areas though, so it's really cool and surprising to see Deli, an Aussie (like me) demonstrate this in a really cool way in game. As someone who's lived in apartments and gets easily distressed by cramped spaces, I'd probably pick the most minimally furnished 2 bedder, or the apartment that had a bunch of chairs in it because I have a medical condition and sitting down is nice 😅

@@adonis7965 I think you should also try experimenting on this house and try your hand at remodeling it as apartments, just for fun. It takes lots of practice, trying things out, and learning from some tutorial videos to improve at building in Sims 4. In this case you have a shell to work with and you can also look at other people's builds for inspiration, such as @clozza123 Think of it like an experiment and if you feel anxious, you can save it to your library without saving it to your gallery so no one else sees it, Adonis. But that's just my opinion! Obviously if your desire to use Clozza's build is stronger than your desire to remodel this lot, there's no need lol. I simply like to encourage people because so many say they can't build but most Sims 4 builders on YT have been building for at least a decade so they simply have a ton of experience under their belts.

As a heated blanket owner 1: you do get used to it and it is hard to sleep without it, but you get used to that again too. I’d say for people with chronic pain, a heated blanket can be a big relief. A heated blanket can also be used to preheat your bed. You take it off before sleeping and your bed will cool off slowly while you are in it 2: usually a good quality heated blanket shuts off on its own after a while. There should be a safety in there so nothing can happen. Ofcourse things malfunction, I just never had it happen to me. You can also make it a routine like, stand up, shut off blanket. It doesn’t take long to heat up again when you come back All in all I am a fan. I don’t know if it’s healthy to sleep in a heated bed all the time but I do it anyway. Great for cold winters and snuggling with your partner after you took a walk in the cold!

Its so cool that while watching, I could envision who i could see living in each unit! The small studio would house a hard-working, sporty student who can often be found at the gym and is very sociable with their neighbours. The other downstairs apartment houses a sweet, retired couple that kinda keep to themselves. They migrated when they were young and the minimalism comes from them appreciating the small things in life and not really needing much more. One of them used to be some sort of designer so they really made the place special despite the minimalism. The pastel apartment houses a young single mom and her adorable daughter. They both love cute things and pastel colors and... The mom probably likes all the cutesy stuff more than her daughter does. The other second floor apartment got a middle aged single person who's just living the life, not really needing someone to love cause they love themselves enough. The dark apartment houses a career driven couple that decided to not have any children. Theyre very cool, fashionable and hardworking of course. The top floor apartment has a couple with their son thats at the beginning of junior high. They recently made a far move so the kid is still not very used to the new place, so his parents went all out for his cute dino room but he mayy start to find it a little childish soon 😅 I clearly went way too far with this but i just loved thinking about the stories this building could hold

I have several electric blankets, my fav one is a throw that heats up and has an auto timer on it, so it makes the bed all snuggly, looks ace as a throw, can be washed and makes the bed snuggly if you want it to. But can deffo still sleep without it on, but makes the colder nights here in the UK all the more bearable! But I too worry about it catching on fire or forgetting to turn it off or it turning on randomly if there's powercuts, so feel you on the anxiety/overthinking feeling. But don't let the anxiety control you from pursuing comfort

Usually people only use electric blankets for 2 or 3 months a year. If you use a smart electric plug, you can double check if it's off, when you're not home, or put in on, 20 minutes before bedtime. I recommend the infrared heating blankets, because they warm up people/animals, but not the room temperature. So there is less energy loss. Take care.

in regards to electric blankets... you can actually get electric mattress pads that have heaters in them and each side of the bed you can set to a different heat setting if you and your partner have different heat preferences. we got one for xmas last year and it's the best. it also comes with a timer so it shuts off after a certain amount of time. during the winter we turn ours on as we are getting ready for bed so its nice and warm under our blankets and it turns off while we are sleeping. by that point our body heat under the blankets is enough. I recommend this over the heated blanket personally. I used to have a heated blanket and it was nice but I prefer the mattress pad way more. we put it under our waterproof mattress protector and it still works great!

About electric blankets, I am totally dependent on mine. I've had it for just about a year and I used it even in summer, just to warm up the foot of my bed and turning it off when I got into bed. I hate sleeping with socks and I've been sleeping like a baby because of that blanket. It also turns itself off after 4 hours, so no risk of fire.

I usually use the city living elevators from debug, clone the room it's in and place them so I can have multiple. They don't work but I think it gives a nice touch!🤗

I have an electric blanket and im obsessed with it, not dependent (yet) but do love it. However, a couple weeks ago my entire apartment block was evacuated due to a fire and I came home to find everyone outside, my first thought was that my blanket had exploded and burnt all of my belongings. It wasn't me, but like I totally understand your fear, very valid

We built the house I grew up in when I was about 8, my parents let me decide what I wanted my room to look like and I was a massive ocean nerd kid so I had it a gradient blue from ceiling to floor with loads of sea creatures and kelp and stuff painted on it, so the deal was that because we'd spent so much time and effort painting it, I did not have posters or anything up in my bedroom. At all. I had photos and stuff on the bookcase, but nothing on the walls, which was fair, but by the time I was 17 and in my last year of high school it was super embarrassing! They redecorated it for me when I was away my first term of uni but now I kinda wish there was a bit of the old decor left. Even if it was just the deep sea angler fish in the corner! Anyway, my tuppence about decorating kids rooms aside, I loved this! Especially the mint green bedroom, that one was super pretty

I love all the apartments! You always do such an amazing job with renovations and builds. I think my favorite is between the teal apartment and the 3rd floor one.

I have an electric blanket that I got from Kmart or Target. It has a timer so I set it to 1 hour that way my bed is cosy when I get into it. It's also separated into a body and a foot section, so sometimes I just put the body section on to help with period or back pain. P.S. Fellow Aussie from WA

I think most/all electric blankets have auto shutoffs after a certain amount of time, less scary to leave plugged in Love this build! Can't wait for new expansion pack

I've renovated this house in a modern way. the first floor - two living rooms, one of them is with bar and big screen, the other is just chill, kitchen and dining room together, a greenhouse instead of the additional bedroom, also added a pool. Second floor has a guest room with in-suite, gym with a sauna in it and big balcony, The third floor is two bedrooms, each has an in-suite bathroom, also there are two bathrooms on the first floor and one hallway bathroom on the srcond one.

I use a heating blanket in bed all winter, and mine auto turns off after 10 hours, I highly recommend it if you don't like to turn up the heat in your house when it's cold.

Some heated blankets and heating pads have timers and heat settings on them so they automatically turn off on their own so you don’t get burned while you sleep and so you don’t over heat. Hope this helps :)

I'm sure someone already said it but they do have auto-shut off blankets. I have a king size heated blanket, its dual control so my bf and I can decide our own heat levels. There are 4 timer modes and it shuts off ay 4 hours regardless. In regards to getting too attached to it... worth it.

These apartments would be amazing in real life too, open spacious like feel, do like the private-courtyard area too. Wouldn't mind living there with hanging plants and all. Or the one with the purple pastel, mint green bedroom area. Little trees and bushes always needed, everyone needs the greenery and such. Makes people more relaxed

I never liked that weird house, I bulldozed it but it looks so much better now! My favorite apartment is the pastel one😊I'm a bit tired of bland builds and interiors beige, brown or white, I'm so happy to see colors!😃I also loved the mix of the orange and teal in the last apartment. I don't wear white either for the same reason.

Loved the build! You should do the landgraab house. Del Sol Valley would also be great for apartments on that 50*40 lot in mirage park.

I hope the For Rent pack comes with new peephole doors, because the one that came with Discover University isn't flippable without the inside showing on the outside.
