Nice job. Glad you enjoyed it. Way back when I first started repairing cars, we had a sparkplug sandblasting tool mounted to the wall and inserted the dirty sparkplug, blasted them clean and re-gapped them. Stay safe and please continue with the great videos.

I would love to see what it looked like, maybe I could get my hands on one of those sandblaster. What blasting media did it use?

@@AJRestoration I sand blast my plugs and I use glass beads and I haven’t had a single issue with using that. Spark plug blasters were very popular in repair shops in the 40’s & 50’s and they’re actually pretty expensive if you can find one that still works.

It still looks great! I used to work in a local Briggs & Stratton plant. They closed down a few years ago. Old Biggs & Stratton engines were top-of-the-line. The newer ones are okay. They have changed the design to meet modern emission standards and lower costs. I am not a fan of the plastic carburetors. I have an old tiller with a Briggs engine that ran great for decades. First-pull start even after sitting for years, but now it is ready for a rebuild. The intake valve seems to be sticking open. Too bad you can't come to the US and restore the rest of if for me.

I have no idea how many viewers on here that have ever taken a spark plug apart. Spark plugs either work, or then don't. And you can even make a resister plug into a non-resister plug by taking the resister section out and cutting a piece of house copper wire to fit inside. Really not much to plugs. I've been media blasting them for a long time now. They clean up so easy and look new. Then you can easily test them with an ohm meter... Thumbs Up for this video showing how!

Thank you for thee thumbs up! I agree they either work or they don't.

.....never seen a spark plug restoration..... Yes, I see and did ! For restoration old planes we use for the spark plugs of the V12 or radial engines f.e. a special cleaning unit. Size app. two shoe-boxes. There was all included. A sandblaster. Internal light and lenses to control the result. A connector for high-tension to check a: the sparks and b: the function of the insulation. The machine is from the 50-60's and restoring one aircraft-spark-plug takes 2-3 minutes.😊

My dad ran an old snow machine that fouled plugs regularly. He go riding with a pocket of new plug on the right and when he got home he’d have a pocket of fouled in the left. He’d put them on a bake tray in the oven and roast em for an hour. Irked my mom to no end. Hed buy new crush gaskets and viola.
