I think you should compare it using 5600x with the 4060 as well and see the difference, would be better to include the comparison with the rx 7600 as well. As currently with the price point, these two gpu's cost is kinda similar to each other. Then we can compare it with the b580. Thus we can tell the actual difference. Did intel even do any justice to low to mid end cpu's.

Paying off every single KZbinr and magazine, large or small, who makes evidence-based PC component analysis to skew the results before they make a video is not only a logistical impossibility, but the vast majority of them would be frothing at the mouth for the opportunity to conduct an expose on such practices. I would be interested in more benchmarking examples to see how midrange Intel CPUs compare to Ryzen’s on Intel graphics cards, but Ryzen CPUs have been repeatedly shown to outperform Intel CPUs in most gaming environments, and the 9800X3D is the best CPU for testing GPUs without bottlenecks.

I'm going to be honest here at the cost of sounding mean. I think you are being too defensive. Why are you emphasising what you think is playable/enough so much? Shouldn't the focus be on what the general gamer consider something to be ideal/playable? At the end of the day, it's all about whether or not this GPU is giving out the stable performance it needs to give at the price when compared to other GPUs at its price segment at 1440p. I saw no comparison being made here. And you only played 2 games with the least amount of info possible. Minimum fps? Maximum fps? Average fps? 1% lows? 0.1% lows? GPU and CPU utilization? Please think of having a good info hud as some of those game testers do and make the font bigger. Also you didn't even try different settings for Space Marine to achieve 60 fps average. I wouldn't call this adequate data at all. I understand this video was made in a rush to get your word out there but I am not convinced. Sorry if any of what I said came off as rude or mean.

I have the B580 Steel Legend and I totally agree with him. Card performs very well in the games I play, paired with a Ryzen 5 5600. And since Im limited to 60fps due to my TV being only 60hz, this card is more than enough for me. It performs especially well on higher res, which might be due to the CPU limitation being reduced there. At the end of the day, people should just test this card with their system and the games they play and see how it performs. You can always refund it afterwards, if it doesnt meet ur expectations.

I was running a B580 in GEN 3 board at x8 with a 5700x3d. The bottlekneck was insane. the 1% lows were pure trash. Skipping, frame spikes, and Low FPS at 1080p. Returned it, got a refurb 3070 same price and man, my fps has SKY ROCKETED. It's not even close. I'm talking 20-40 more fps in many titles. B580 wants a certain type of configuration. I wouldn't recommend the card unless someone has a top tier CPU and just isn't interested in a very expensive GPU. The only game I've tried that was giving me performance issues was CS2. There were plenty of drops whenever you walk through smokes or Molotovs are thrown. However one thing to note is that these issues went away as of Jaunary 7th. It might have been due to the game's update or my tinkering prior (disabling services, hardware acceleration in windows, and disabling CPU 0 in task manager). I'm pretty confident this has to be a driver issue since there's other issues with Arc where recording/streaming halves the frame rate.

Minimum CPU for b580 would be r5 5600, anything lower than that is not worth the effort. B 580 is a mid-tier card, not a budget option to upgrade older system. If you have older system and don not want to upgrade MB+CPU (possibly RAM), go for rx 6600 - 6700xt as these have modest prices both on new and used market.
@gt1man93117 күн бұрын
Here is the problem(?) with the complaint about old CPUs and rebar. Arc has always needed it, intel was very upfront about it. Most of the issues come through on platforms that might have rebar(depending on the MB), but before rebar/smart access memory was officially supported from intel or AMD(I haven't seen the boxes the cards come in, but I have seen people posting the specs are on the boxes that are the same as on that page linked). That means it might be implemented half-assed and you are taking a chance that it will be fine on older hardware before that time, regardless if there is a checkbox in your bios.
