From a kid making a KZbin video about a mechanic he discovered to a man getting the chance to do what every son and daughter dreams of. You’re truly inspiring, musty. Congratulations, prayers and thoughts for your father as well.

Hey Musty! I didn't actually know you before this video and there couldn't be a better timing for me to watch this. I'm passing through a similar situation on my life, and while watching your video I found the motivation I needed to pursue what I believe and love doing, and be able to, in a near future, provide a better life for my mother. Thank you for this video, it really got me emotive and this doesn't usually happen.

This is heartbreaking. How much pain your mom is just swallowing by herself just shows itself in this video. Her reaction seems so muted, like she’s cut all of her emotions off entirely because of the pain. We’re happy for you Wyatt!

It's tough... .Expectations of reactions. As a father, I don't know how I would react if my son "retired" me. Appreciation first and foremost. But if he was your age when doing it... part of me would want to give it back because I know life has it's up's and down's and there might be a moment my boy needs that money for himself. That hesitation in reaction that I could see you saw and felt.... that is likely the reason for it mate. A parent who recieves such a gift from their kid, inherently fears that gift is wasted on them and instinctually it is hard to take in fully. At 22, you're still starting your life man. It's so good you have this opportunity to do this. But, I don't know if you got that reaction feel from them, and maybe I'm just projecting my own thoughts into the situation too much... so feel free to ignore me mate. I'm happy for you

I was also thinking that is a pretty rational reaction. And I don’t think Musty quite understands the cost of medical bills and the importance of medical insurance. Even if he could help them financially, if she dropped her job and they had no health insurance, they would not be taking out just a couple thousand every month. That would be hundreds of thousands of dollars. Musty’s net worth is around 2 million, (and net worth does not = annual income. His annual income is probably much less than that) and I’m assuming he buys his own health insurance, but you can’t include parents under health insurance plans, even if claimed as dependents. Even with the amount musty makes, I truly do not think he could afford to pay his dad’s medical bills out of pocket without insurance. If his net worth was like 100 million, that maybe could work. But I don’t think Musty quite makes enough money to pay out of pocket for a person who needs intensive care’s medical bills. There is Medicare after retirement, but that honestly depends on your employer and what you’ve invested towards that plan. It’s very complex. And considering he just spoke to his parents just then about retiring them, I don’t know if he thought that all out. But I’m just speculating, maybe he did. This is still sweet and a nice gesture. I still don’t know how I feel about making this a whole KZbin video. But because this is coming from a KZbinr who’s been doing this since he was a teenager, I’m sure him making this a video was coming from a genuine place to show his love for his parents. When you are in the public eye for that long, and it’s practically all you know, sometimes your content can breach too far into your personal life. And I don’t blame him for that. Despite how this might come off as indirectly exploitative. I honestly felt uncomfortable hearing the conversation between him and his mom. It felt like that is not something hundreds of thousands of people should be watching. That’s just my take. I went through my dad having cancer, and that was rough. You can make pretty poor decisions when you’re going through such debilitating stress and sadness. So again, this is not throwing shade at Musty. But I wanted to put that out there. Much love ❤

I would just say that this is where there’s a little bit of a disconnect between older folk and the younger, ‘KZbin generation’. For those that make a living on KZbin, that’s not likely to go away anytime soon and someone like Musty is definitely taking care of what they need to and not blowing every dollar they have, in which they’ll have plenty to spare. Regarding the ‘reaction’ portion, I think he knows them enough that it was much more OF a reaction to him than what it appeared to be to us. Like if I did something like this for my dad, he’d be as dry as the fkn Sahara desert, but I know he’d wholeheartedly appreciate the hell out of it. Lol just my 2¢

Your mom is barely holding on, her spirit is broken and it’s so sad to see her get these great amazing gifts from her son, and to be so numb because of all the things happening to his dad that she barley reacts. To tell her to not have to worry about money again but doesn’t realize his mom uses work to escape her life.. this video was sad for me more than it was happy. I know she is extremely grateful but honestly she just needs someone to hug and to talk to. Imagine building a life and family with your partner and see them withering away and sick.. no amount of money can fix that, and il so sorry that your family is going through it. I recently had my partner lose her mom and it didn’t matter how much I spent and what I did for her the truth is life wasn’t good at the time. She’s doing better now, but there will always be that somber feeling for every great moment. Your mom is tough and I hope she gets through this!!! I know she will! ❤

Musty's mom's reaction is very telling. You can tell she's been in her situation for a very long time. So used to the way things are, and so much on her mind, not any room for joy. Joy can be restored, and this is a great start. Incredible thing for you to do, Musty.

I have never cried more in my life from a video. My dad had a head injury before I was born along my life he has gotten more and more sick he has been on medication for about 14 years and can’t do activities much at all. This Christmas my mom has been working so my parents could take our family to Disney world as we were at Disney land I just sat and thought about my parents and how much I love them I haven’t seen my dad this happy in years and my mom has worked so hard. This video really meant a lot to me. I hope you and your parents will be happy together.

From your original musty flick video from 6 years ago to you getting signed with NRG to you destroying sunless many times I have to say…. This is my favorite video. Watching you and seeing different stages of your life over the past 6 years I gotta say I’m super proud of you. This is the dream so many sons and daughters wish to achieve. Seeing you do this is honestly them best start to my day that I could ask for. I send my prayers to your family and to your father and hope he will get enjoy and spend time with his amazing son and wife. Having a family member deal with cancer I know the toll it can take on a spouse. I’m not sure how much you hear it but from the bottom of my heart I’m proud of you and admire you. Keep it up buddy and thank you for taking us along with you on that vulnerable and personal journey. Congratulations on being able to take care of your family and treat them with what they deserve. If there is ever a Lan in Charlotte hit me up and I’d be honored to treat you to some dinner here. Stay musty man and keep the course. I hope your mom enjoys Costa Rica and she will have my thoughts and prayers until we hear any news from you about your family’s situation. I appreciate you mustard. P.S. if you ever get washed at rocket league I’ll see you in diamond where I’ll be the rest of my life.

This was an amazing thing you did for your parents. It felt like your mom forgot what happiness feels like when you always have so much stress taking over your life. It looked like she was trying very hard not to breakdown in front of you as everything soaked in. I don't like commenting my situation like people do even though they are just trying to relate. I do want to say that I hope your dad is doing better. I recently came back to stay with my parents to help out with a seemingly similar situation. My dad has been going through withdrawals all week and it's been a nightmare. I know people need certain medications but I feel like the physicians don't educate anyone enough about getting off of them. My mom passed out from not eating well, stress and not enough sleep. That was when I realized I had to help in anyway I can. I am rambling but I just had to say how much I know this means to your parents. Have a safe and fun trip to Costa Rica and again, not sure when you fimed this but I hope your dad is better with whatever decision he made with the medication.

You are an inspiration, selfless, and creative. I tell my parents about you all of the time. You have not changed a bit since we were kids running around playing soccer together and man hunt. Always the most caring person. This hits home, because I have been going through some very hard mental battles. I had a buddy pass away recently and it has me screwed up. I want you to reach out somehow. I want to be able to talk to you, through all of the fame and everything. I miss your family and hope you end up seeing this. Much love from the Suds. Everything will work out, just have to keep your head up. I hope you see this and can share my thoughts with your father. I would love for him to hear that I am praying for the best. I have let life get in the way of my dreams. This has inspired me to really take action and see what I can do now to take care of my dad. I really appreciate you sharing this with everyone. It gives people a more in-depth look into your life and adds so much value into who you are as a person. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I really feel like this will relieve a huge burden financially from your mom and dad. Just please remember that the one thing we dont get more of is time and spend it with your parents while you can.

Oh my god. I have no words to describe my feelings after watching this video. I had no idea you were going through any of that, musty. I'm so sorry about your dad and the situation your parents are in. In all your videos, you look so happy and cheerful that I never would have guessed this was happening in your life. When I saw your mom crying, it broke my heart. You really are an inspiration, man. You should be proud of what you've accomplished. Every child in the world dreams of doing what you did in this video. Thank you musty, for always entertaining us with the highest quality content, and I can't wait to see what else you accomplish in the following years to come. ♥♥♥

this is so kind of you to do musty, you honestly should be so proud of yourself. And its good to see these serious types of videos too. to show we are all human and that its ok to show your emotions. and I'm happy you feel comfortable to do that in front of a community who genuinely loves and supports you. its so awesome of you to help your parents in such a hard and rough time, I'm giving a lot of prayers and thoughts for both your mom and dad and wishing the most best for both of them. and I'm wishing the best for you too man, all of you guys really deserve all of this support and love from everyone. and again, I'm wishing and praying for the most best for your mom and dad. we're all proud of you

You're awesome, Wyatt. I'm not a gamer (my 21 yr old son is) and retiring soon as a parent of two with some health issues myself. Retiring at the end of May at 30 yrs (of weekly rotating shifts) as an NWS lead meteorologist. My daughter (24) graduated Summa Cum Laud in computer science and graphics art designs in May 2022 and almost makes almost as much as I do NOW. Crazy man. Your channel just randomly popped up on my feed. You will be rewarded 1000 times over from God for this sensitivity and the understanding that it was them that helped you get to where you are now and your success. You're paying it forward and I as a parent LOVE this! Keep it going, Wyatt! You have a long future ahead.

This is a huge thing to do not only for yourself but for your parents to prove that they’ve also done well in who they brought up, even if your parents don’t decide to use the money and want to continue their life the way it is they can at least be sure that you’ll always be there for them as they were for you, your mother seems quite down and it made me sad just hearing her talk but i’m sure there is a lot of love and appreciation behind all that hurt. well done man you’ve accomplished things that many can only dream of! 👏🏽👏🏽

She said thank you a lot. She was clearly extremely thankful. She was just going through the thoughts of what it all meant, and how to interpret the situation. That is just a real human interaction. I really appreciated this video for how authentic it came off, and I believe it was very authentic as well. Extremely generous of you Musty, not all people would do the same in your position

Damn, this hit home hard, I never really see eye to eye with my dad cause my upbringing was pretty rough and he'd beat the heck out of me a lot of the time for no reason, he was aggressive, violent etc then when I was 15 got diagnosed with acute myeloid luechemia (can't spell) and it flipped my world, 2 years of thinking he was gonna die for him to survive I was happy then he got it a second time and I relieved the whole experience but worse for another 3 years, he's still not well and is getting worse but I still don't connect with him, I feel extremely guilty for not being able to connect with him at all but also living out my own life like im moving out and moving on.....I cant help but feep guilty and like i have no purposes cause those 6 years + of looking after everyone, i feep like i lost a big part of my growth. But I'm happy to see that you did it for your parents, subbed for sure!

I have no idea why this popped up in my feed or why I even watched it, but mate! as a bloke in my 60's who has been fighting my own battles (currently off work due to a workplace accident but I think I will be ok, even if I can't work again!) but with kids your age, you kinda give me hope for your generation! Our son is currently living overseas working in the gaming industry & doing very well. The same goes for our daughter who is pursuing her thing. Honestly all that us parents want for our kids, is for them to turn out well, give life a red hot go, contribute back a little extra along the way & we've done our job!! You are correct, money is not everything but it sure does help. I wish the best for your Dad & of course your Mum, you are a decent guy who absolutely understands how fortunate you are & can do well with what you have achieved, Well Done!! 👍👍

Congrats man, you have a big heart & are such an inspiration for your community. It shows in your vid how much you care for your parents and want to help and support them through this tough time, even if their immediate reaction wasn’t what you hoped for because living in the real world it’s hard to think about stopping the work grind because that’s all we know & to consider not having to do that might feel unrealistic but you did an amazing thing. Hope you’re doing alright and that your dad & mum start to get better but big ups to you for everything you’ve achieved and giving back 🫶
