I'm glad you got to test ride so many bikes! I've been especially interested in the Strive:On and I feel like it's a perfect fit for me. I'm planning on finally pulling the trigger later this week. I'm definitely sizing down though because 500mm is the perfect reach for me. It'll be the first large frame I've ever purchased. At 6'4, it feels weird to actually have a choice! 🤣

Had a blast with all the test rides but it took a lot of pedaling! congrats on the new bike! Definitely a good choice! The motor battery and geo is pretty sick on the strive on!

They did not have demos available this year. I was looking forward to it too. They’ll be at local bike park in August and I’m definitely going to go for test ride

Love your channel so much. I watch it all the time. I’m stuck between the specialized turbo Levo and the Canyon spectral on. I currently have 2 canyons (road bike and gravel) and love them. I’m a 6’5” tall 225 lb rider that wants a trail emtb for long rides in the mountains with occasional park fun. Because of my weight and size I’m not sure what the right amount of travel to get , vs Watt hour motor and battery. Any help making a decision considering my personal variables would be greatly appreciated!

I think both are great choices! Spectral on with 900wh will give you lots of range. But if you want more powerful feel Levo is the way. In terms of travel what type of trails are you looking to ride and do you plan on progressing your skills to the point of needing more travel. In my opinion 150-160mm is enough to handle a variety of terrain.

@@frankiesemtb I’m not planning on super aggressive downhill riding. I’d like to focus on longer distances in the backcountry up and down fire roads and some single track. My bigger concern is getting the right motor and battery and travel for my weight/height???

@adamgriffin7055 you should be good with a 150mm travel bike. The stock shocks on both spectral on and Levo will be enough. I’ve seen heavy riders on both platforms and it’s really up to how you adjust your shocks. And depending on the tier you buy, the spectral on CF8 has a 900wh battery, that is huge and perfect for long distances. I believe the Levo only goes up to 700wh. 200wh can cover alot of distance.

This is where I would jump in and say go Canyon without question but I've seen a lot of posts on a Canyon ebike group on Facebook complaining about the custom battery casing cracking around the screw mount holes. I don't recall if it's only the 720Wh batteries or the 900 as well. I've also seen that Canyon is doing what they can to replace the faulty batteries as quickly as possible and I'm sure they're working on a solution. But this is information that you likely would want to know before you buy. Other than that, I'm sure you'd be happy on either bike. The Levo has a smaller battery BUT the motor is significantly more efficient than the Shimano so I don't think the range difference is all that much. A friend of mine has had a Turbo Levo for 2 years now and hasn't had any reliability issues. I hope this helps!

id like to see how the new canyon Neuron:ONfly CF 7 sx motor is on power compared to cx motors....

There was a norco fluid that had an SX motor but it was so popular it kept getting demoed and by the time I could hop on it, it was already out of battery. Canyon is not too far away from me here in SoCal and I’m planning on doing a demo series hopefully they’ll have a neuron for demo. Stay tuned!
