i love the sound of braking glass NOT i once removed a screen for a van it was free removed mine put the glue on picked up the glass and the suction cup came off by by glass and smash i had to get the glue off again as well well unhappy that day keep safe await the reveal on the new protect keep safe from me in England

When you found the socket, my disappointment that it was an 11mm was palatable. I was so hoping for a 10 ;) I have broken things like the glass in the past, I know that feeling. The just staring at it in disbelief for a few seconds, hoping it will fix itself... that’s a shitty feeling.

U can also glue that quarter on with a 2 part panel glue.its faster and easier. Either way it will be great I'm sure.gotta go I have something to play with🤣🤣🤣

With replacing that quarter panel you will be performing 3 types of welds, Spot welds, butt welds and plug welds, You now have the spot weld tool so that will make like easy on those welds accessible by a spotter, you will have to drill out all the existing spot welds on the replacement quarter clip you are getting and depending on the location you might be drilling from the replacement panel side. When welding in the replacement quarter to your vehicle you will be doing a lot of "plug welding" Filling in the existing drilled hole in the replacement panel to the body of the vehicle, they are easy to do with a wire feed welder, i suggest practicing on the unused portions of the clip you are getting so you can get you welder dialed in for that type of weld so all goes well with the actual repair. The butt welds are simple as well, leave a tiny gap (cutting wheel width) between your two sides and tack in one spot , move to a different area in the gap and tack that in, keep doing this till the entire seam is welded, changing locations in welding as opposed to just starting from one end and welding constant to the other prevents warpage in the metal. Be prepared for the what will been the never ending drilling of spot welds on both the vehicle and the clip, try not to drill through the panels on the vehicle and only drill through one side only, again practice on the clip first to get a feel for it first!. All in all a simple project if you have tons of patience and spot weld drills, i'm sure you will have to panel replaced in no time though!!!!!!! cant wait to see the results!!!!!!!!

hey i do have a question i hope you could cover sometime to help me and others out. i have been rebuilding salvage vehicles now but struggle with what to price them at when listing them for sale. is there a percentage you calculate off of book price? do you ask book and know you will have to come down since its rebuilt? any advice would be greatly appreciated

I bought an RSX that needs a quarter. So i'll learn some from your experience. At least in PA it sounds like you don't have to have a " pre-inspection" before any work is done. Some states make you do that.
