mounting the z quarter panel

This is a lot of work for one person and not to mention this is my first time ever doing a quarter panel. it was challenging but I think it turned out pretty good!

Panel bond goes between the panels to glue them together, you should be using seam sealer on the seams once welded to seal them.

Zip screws are your friend when aligning panels like that. Predrill them in and it will force the panel back to where you like it to be.

I don't think you should beat yourself up over your welds. The main thing for me is that the car is structurally sound and we know that it will look great when it is all fully assembled👍

Great video 👍 Todd When mig welding just scratch out the weld through primer as not all weld through primers are the same quality.Your doing a great job.

I’ve had same experience with that primer. They also sell no splatter cooper base primer, cost more but should work better.

I just had the quarter panel replaced on my 370z after an accident. The gas door doesn't close now, it sits a bit too low, and won't latch properly. Any ideas how to fix? Great video btw!

I’m curious about the vins on your panels. Do you have to move your z-one over to the donor panel? I’ve never had to del with that. I laughed my ass off at the bike wash scene. 😂

In my state, the only vin that matters is the body vin under the windshield

In my experience weld through primers are a " mixed bag" at best. I usually have the best luck with the copper based ones rather than the galvanized. Over all, you did a very credible job of panel replacement. Don't get discouraged practice will improve your skills. Stewie, Stella, and Ashley all rock!
