Saw this for the first time on a flight once and sobbed so hard the person next to me was patting my shoulder 😂

going "the end!" when they kiss at the end of the planetarium scene is so unbelievably real 😭😭😭 happy ending! nothing else happened that would shatter my heart into a billion pieces and end me, surely!

Yeah, as an old, literally, romantic this film just breaks me every time, especially that last song that Emma sings, that she did live all in one shot with the piano player out of sight playing for her. A great, great film.

Live ?? All in one shot?? She is a WIZARD!! Thank you for telling me this!

Oh, and yes, I have been to the Griffith Planetarium. I go hiking up there sometimes but oddly enough, have never been inside except for just past the entrance a long time ago when I worked on a a quick shoot with Tom Hanks being interviewed about his love for "2001: A Space Odyssey". I think I'll call in sick one day soon and just go visit during the week when it's hopefully not too busy.

Oh, and one semi-fun fact, in that dance sequence with Emma and her roomates at the beginning, the dancer in the yellow dress is actress Sonoya Mizuno who was in "Ex Machina" and many other Alex Garland films, and she's on "House of the Dragon" and was in a limited netflix sci-fi series I really liked, also with Emma Stone along with Jonah Hill, called "Maniac". See, that was fun-ish, right?

As an aside, anyone who says they "hate jazz" just doesn't understand jazz and modern music. To say you like music but hate jazz is almost like saying you like food but hate cooking. Without jazz, most modern forms of music wouldn't exist.
@hoodyboody3 ай бұрын
Heaps of people love food but hate cooking. I love music, and I don't like jazz. It's not that I don't get it. I just don't enjoy jazz. I don't enjoy rap either, but I love musicals, and rap and musicals are very intertwined lyrically.

He has a contract with the band and it can't be a photo shoot without him. Keep in mind the only reason she could quit her job and write was because he agreed to do something that is not really him.

Omg I hadn’t thought about this! Seb paid the bills so she could afford the decisions! Sigh this is so sad. He thought she is happy that they both took a job. While hers is a dream job and his was a realistic job. S😢

That time the 405 freeway was having maintenance. For like 3 years. You leave your car, find a Target or a Best Buy, use the toilet, and buy a pack of M&Ms before running back to your car.

Didn't know this was Letterboxd's top movie. Actually kinda the perfect movie to be at the top for a movie review platform that is predominated by mostly younger demographics(compared to IMDB for eg.), as La La Land was a movie directed by a young director paying homage to the great directors of old. All the same, it's a comically perfect movie that checks every box. Converted me to musicals, which I never liked. Kinda jealous that there's people in 2024 that are just seeing it for the first time.

I honestly love your reactions!!! You definitely cover things that I would never think of on my first watch and I love that too! I also watched your Rocky Horror reaction video and I felt so connected to it! As a suggestion to watch something I’m not sure if you want to watch animation or if you’ve already seen the show, but I HIGHLY recommend Arcane. One of my favourite shows, and in my opinion, one of the best shows of all time

Hello, if you don’t mind, can you do a movie reaction on a movie called, 1492: Conquest of Paradise. Adventure/Drama (1992). It stars Gérard Depardieu, Siqourney Weaver, Armand Assante. It portrays a version of the travels to the New World by the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus and the effect this had on indigenous peoples. Directed by Ridley Scott. Thank you, Chris.

I absolutely love this movie its just perfect. I got to thinking what could I do with it to give it a little "twist" I paired it up with a great John Mayer song and im so proud of it the lyric just resonates with the story . . . i hope it breathes new life into your revisit to LA Yes i absolutely lost it as well . . . . that scene when she goes into the club and he walks onstage and spots her in the audience . . just really hit me, Gosling really nailed that look of utter despair and of course the end scene wham. . . . another hit . . . kzbin.info/www/bejne/jorGpaiwnc6fkLM
