Btw, I hit a psychedelic honey hole a couple of days ago: Sugarloaf, Humble Pie/As Safe as Yesterday Is, Mother Tuckers Yellow Duck, Frijid Pink, KLeidoscopic Vibrations by Perrey & Kingsley crazy Moog album, Floyd Umma Gumma, The Illusion which is an obscure Cdn psyche band but severely underrated in my opinion, I was channeling Dillon on that day, digging in a garage but they were all NM !!

i can confirm that 'black cat bones' were a more than capable heavy blues-rock band as i saw them at a small club that was based at the back of 'the cricketers pub' leigh-on-sea essex (u.k.) circa 1970...many great u.k.bands played there so i got to see & hear them every saturday! ten years after/chicken shack (stan webb-lead guitarist had a 100ft guitar lead and would wander through the audience when soloing!!!!) the kult/keef hartley band/status quo/alexis korner/duster bennett and more...

Dillon dude these are amazing scores. Every one that came up I kept saying OMG....OMG...and I dont think i would have ever heard of any of these if it wasnt for your videos. You’ve totally opened up my eyes to way more classic rock than I ever knew was out there. I was actually just fortunate enough to score a Paramount press of May Blitz debut album (woo! Personal grail!) Too bad wasnt the Vertigo press but I certainly wasnt about to pass it up. Funny enough, this same shop has apparently had it on the wall forever and I have passed by it multiple times, only for most recently my wife to point it out. Love it! Keep these vids up, not gonna lie I am totally jealous lol

Another great video, and I have the Randy Holden original. A great album. I bought it as a sealed original in the 80's, but when I opened it I found it had a nasty scratch. Amazingly though it only makes a few small clicks on playing. Beware of sealed original lp's, some are obviously re sealed a long time after being issued and played a lot. Had the same with a shivas headband l.p..

The Holden does have a so bad it is good quality. If you can tolerate listening to Jimi Hendrix, sounds similar?, you might buy it. The fun angle to those Sandstone type Lp's is when selling them online band members sometimes getting in touch asking you how you got it, or even wanting a copy they lost decades ago.

Sainte Anthony’s Fire was more than likely inspired by a book called ‘The Day of St.Anthony’s Fire’ by George G.Fuller published in 1968. I read it in 1979. I borrowed it from the works’ library of the Flour, Milling and Baking Research Association’s library (Chorleywood, UK where mass-produced white bread was invented an where I worked at the time). It’s about an event that happened in 1951 in rural France when an entire village went mad and got gangrene from eating bread mad with ergot-infected bread. Ergot fungus was the original source of LSD. My workplace had some - quite a lot - in a big glass jar in a cupboard in the lab. So I nicked some but just because I could. I recently found them turned to dust in a bottle. Should’ve nicked the book instead. You can’t find the hardback original of that that I read it seems. The FMBRA centre is now an old people’s home.

Researching band histories like Black Cat Bones connections with more famous bands like Free and Foghat in this video, for example. Now I discover a lot of new stuff from youtube channels like this. Let me also say I’m a sucker for records that will never be pressed again..such as ghostface supreme clientele due to sample issues. Those hold the most value to me.
