Today, we say farewell to my Mustang V6, talk about the many reasons I decided to sell it, and touch on what comes next! Thanks for keeping up with my Mustang journey, for sharing your own Mustang stories and experiences, and supporting my videos despite my absence! I promise it won't be as long of a break this time. I have exciting new videos planned, so stay tuned!

as someone who currently owns a 2013 grabber blue 3.7 MT82 as my daily I have to say it’s truly a great car as far as reliability and overall being a fun car. It recently got into an accident but I was lucky enough to rebuild it and I couldn’t be more happy of that. such an underrated car for the price you get them at.

Back in 2020 i was looking for a daily car and my daughter who was 6yo at that time told me about buying a horsie car. I thought it was funny and also quite strange since i wasn't that petrolhead daddy kind trying to force her to get along with cars at that age. I never spoke about mustangs, there were no posters anywhere, I live in Poland and there were no s197 in sight. But somehow she was aware of it even tho we never attended a car show or anything like that, we stayed away from all that. Checked the prices and showed her which one she likes best - s197. I was trying to support myself by looking for videos, stories, evolution of it etc. It got to me that this is the last proper mustang to get as an all american rebel. Few months later a 2013 candy red premium V6 was on it's way from Florida to Poland. Clean paint, no mods, original rims, nothing done under the hood and 88k miles on it and it got to me that i never saw it in person, like at all. And what a memorable sight it was. Today it's all the same and original i relate with all what you said about the joy of owning one just for what it is. From the day i got behind the wheel even until now i came back to look at those videos of yours a good amount of times just to remind myself about how one feels while driving with my own momentum enjoying every second of it...and also it reminds me not to do anything stupid with it as there are so many mods out there. Videos you made had a big impact on the entire image about it, i mean the videography played a lot in it with all the exact narration how i would describe having one of my own and why i'm not very competetive on public roads in something what is commonly known for performance entry. It taught me to slow down in many levels and this car is like a therapy in motion for me. My daughter is now a 10yo and almost lives in the garage. Came here to let you know about that your message went trough. Thank you sir :)

This is such an amazing story and I really appreciate you sharing it with me! It is amazing to know that I had any, if even a small part to play in your ownership of one of these cars, and I'm so glad to hear that it has brought you and your daughter closer together. These Mustangs (S197 in particular) are truly the most characterful vehicles I've ever driven, and I can see that you agree! I hope you continue to enjoy it for years to come! 😎

I had two ‘13 mustangs a gray base V6 mustang and a black GT gen 1 Coyote. Had both for the course of 9 years together. I miss both and wouldn’t mind getting another 5.0 once I catch up financially with other responsibilities. Used to watch your videos all the time when I had them. Now ironically I drive a Tacoma too. An 18’ SR5 double cab in silver with 3’ lift from previous owner and 33’ AT tires. I can see why people love Toyota trucks so much. Owned for over a year so far and love the truck to death. I’ve already camped in it and taken up in down mountains in Arkansas. Plan to take it out west eventually.

Definitely do! I've been to Colorado and Moab a few times with my Taco(s) and will never stop raving about the experiences I've had! The Mustangs make daily driving a lot of fun, but the endless adventure an off-roader unlocks for you is truly unbeatable. On top of that, I've come to the conclusion that Tacoma's are the Mustang of the truck world. I have a surprising number of friends who owned Mustangs previously that traded them for Tacomas!

This is a beautiful car! What size are the wheels and tyres?
@GrahamCain
@GrahamCain 10 ай бұрын
They’re staggered - fronts are 255/40/19 and rears are 275/40/19. This is definitely the sweet spot for looks and performance, if you ask me. Good size wheel while keeping enough rubber on the wheel for compliant handling.
@pan_nick9033

@@GrahamCain staggered is the way to go! But I think 20s on the rear like the gt500 is the sweet spot.

@GrahamCain
@GrahamCain 3 ай бұрын
$15 sounds a little high for a V6; however, one with 60k miles is rare! If the CarFax looks good, it sounds very promising, but haggle that price a little!

Does this generation hold its value im looking of buying one for 8k and it has 54k miles?
@GrahamCain
@GrahamCain 3 ай бұрын
Mustangs do not hold their value well at all; however, this generation is already depreciated a significant amount and is one of the best cars for the money, in my opinion. 54K miles is very low, but $8k is low too. Check the CarFax on that one! Something could be wrong. Always watch out for a salvage title. I'd expect a 2011-2014 V6 with that low of milage to be around the $14k range, assuming it is in good shape!

@@GrahamCain yep - i'm 53 years old, and after 25+ years of taking care of the family needs and their cars, i finally bought my "toy" last week - a 2013, one-owner V6 with 96,000 miles - for just under $13k. It's a fun ride, and it's going to be my daily driver. I have a Jeep Commander for the bad weather and pulling other cars out of ditches if needed. It's fairly bland, but i've been starved for a sporty little car for way too long. It literally makes me feel like a teenager again. This Mustang is definitely a lot of fun, gets great gas mileage, and satisfies the sports car urge so many of us 80's children have always had 😄. It's crazy to think the old Mustang GT's back in the 80's were (just stock) over 200 HP and this thing is stock 300+ HP. All i can say is it's a good thing the Mustang i had back in the mid 80's in high school wasn't this stout

Honestly, I think Mustangs make GREAT daily drivers! It may not be quite as practical as a hatchback, but they are a blast to drive and great to look at. The V6 is a great engine for a one-car garage, too. Easy on the wallet in almost every aspect (purchase price, gas, insurance, maint., etc.) I drove mine as a daily for 11 years! You'll love it!
