I’m A ceramic artist: If your swan is glazed (shiny rather than mate feeling) you should be fine to just use soap and water. maybe a toothbrush to get in the small crevices. Just be careful with anything that has a luster (metallic or iridescent finish) or an over glaze(something that feels like a enamel paint has been applied over the top of the smooth surface) those can sometimes come off with heavy wear or intense Cleaning. you can also wash those with soap and water but just to make sure you’re a bit more delicate with them.

Did you seriously buy all these things so long ago without unpacking them earlier 😱? I barely possess the restraint to keep myself from eating all the chocolates from my advent calendar in one go, thr kind of restraint you possess is an actual superpower 😳

Put 2 or 3 small balls of blu-tack (poster putty) on the bottoms of your breakables, and press down onto surfaces. It takes a very determined cat to knock them over, and most of them are not that interested in exerting themselves. I live with three of them and a house full of knick-knacks.

That banana lamp, haha. But maybe for that light cover it could go over a light bulb that's on a flat platform, and be a 'lamp'? Since it was made for lights, but that reduces the risk of it falling on someone's head or something, haha

I got to a point in my life, that I just preferred to buy my own Christmas presents, and I would give them to my mother or my partner to wrap. I was always amazed at how by Christmas, I had forgotten what I had bought, and was truly surprised when I opened my "gifts". Better than surprised, I was always THRILLED, because I had picked the things out and really wanted them. Everybody was happy-- no shopping for me, no guessing, just "Merry Christmas!" and "Thanks!".

To clean the swan, warm soapy water and a medium soft toothbrush... and gentle pressure...rinse with slightly warmer water than you cleaned with and add some white vinegar to help with the drying and reduce any streaks, air dry glassware rather than using a cloth that could possibly jag on finer details...tips I remember from my grandmother who had a panchant for frou-frou glassware, and would always try to rope us in to help her clean it all...Pop hated the stuff, but loved Nan so he put up with it all, and would often "rescue" me to help him in the garden...so I learnt to clean delicate glassware and how to get rid of bugs in the vege patch...a well rounded education...

Yes Kosta Boda is a glass maker that is reputable and with a long history/ heritage (since about 1742). It is also a place called Kosta in Sweden which is where it's made. I live elsewhere in Sweden but It's very famous all over the country. I found this channel earlier this year (and I'm glad I did❤) so I wasn't around for last thriftmas. Though I did binge watch a bunch of videos and the thriftmas from last year included. I was so amazed and jealous of this store, I wish I had a store like that where I live 😩❤.

Since this year's colour is blue, you could remove the pink and gold paint from the *blue glass vase* from thriftmas 2020 day 5 (pastel thrift flip). If you still have it of course😉 It's bottom was green I think... that could be painted with gold, or maybe white and snow-like by pressing the paint on with a sponge... some cool snowy vases have little white houses with non-painted 'glass windows'😆😊

8:28 the funny thing about that situation is that by you spraypainting a uranium vase, it lead to me developing a hobby in collecting uranium glass lmao. If you like thrifting and aren't afraid of a little uranium, going to a thrift store armed with a blacklight might be a fun video to find some rare 1900's glass. Sometimes, an antique store won't realize a piece is uranium when they price it and you can get a good deal on it! (like my Bristol vase)

Second lap shade: you could ask Sam to make something to put in it to hold the jar so you can more easily move it without disturbing your flowers too much. Swan planter: clean it with a soft toothbrush and some warm water and gently scrub it, if that doesn't work then Google what is safe with the old porcelin so you don't damage it. All the vases and things you want to turn into vases are so beautiful and mist fit perfectly together. The colors really harmonize together.
