The one I went to in Osaka was 3000Yen/night and came with an Onsen. So yes.

Thanks for enduring this! You look dope in brown ♨ Yeah, this $45 "premier" capsule would be a nice pick to introduce someone to the experience without scaring them off with the more traditional sub $20 options. Otherwise I see no point in staying here more than once when you can find a room nearby for about $70.

Haha, thanks Dimitriy! The hotel I'm going usually is about $25 per night with the current exchange rates. And it even has a proper room!

I love (certain) capsule hotels in Japan. Whenever I travel alone, I look for one that has good sleeping arrangements but also a hot and cold bathing area. One of my favorites is First Cabin, which I have stayed in several times. I do recommend that people stay away from the cheaper ones simply because they utilize materials that cause one's sleep to be disturbed more often than it should be. Lower quality beds stacked together aren't as soundproofed and when people come in, go out, or simply move around, you can hear it (and don't get me started on people using their phones for calls or videos). Stay at the right type of capsule hotel and you can literally sleep like a bug and a rug, and with the long, hot bath before bed, you are guaranteed a great night's rest. Love capsule hotels when solo!

Thanks a lot for the comment man! Good to hear you enjoy them. For me it's cheap business hotels right now, but maybe one day I'll change my mind and become a capsule hotel fan 😅

@@JapaneseJourney Sure thing! I typically stay in them when solo and traveling light, but if carrying some equipment, extra luggage, or maybe even with a girlfriend, I would definitely look for a more traditional hotel. Either way, a hot and cold bath is a MUST for me! hahaha Keep up the great work!

As a tourist who is booking accommodations in advance that price is steep.

I am Japanese. I sometimes use capsule hotels. Generally, I use around 2,000 yen. If you pay 6,000 yen, you should use a normal hotel.

100% agreed! The business hotel I usually go to is ¥3,700 per night

Does there exist ones with noise cancelling pods where you actually close a pod door and it's really quiet? Betting if that exists its way to expensive
@JapaneseJourney2 жыл бұрын
I'm not actually sure, but it could absolutely be possible. Nowadays there are some capsule hotels that are much closer to a normal business hotel than the traditional ones I had the pleasure to experience so far.
