Sold my Gen Loss Mk 2. the main issue I had was the way the signal hit the pedal, didnt feel right to me. If other people like it, I hope they have fun with it, there are lots pedals out there for different people.

Love mine. I use it on the bass. Sounds great paired with a POG. Enjoy!

Really nicely explained Jackson. I loved section about the freeze switch, you played so beautifully over that frozen note. Great stuff buddy!

I have a zvex lofi junkie and I use in on my univibe because it makes the wobbles better and the compression makes it pop feel to the strings.

The lofi junkie is the original lofi pedal. I actually believe Joel Korte of Chase Bliss worked on that pedal too

It has its charm but it is for guys with 58 pedals on their shelf not on their board that must be totally under control when I click them on while singing lead in a 3 piece Metal band. If I drop out half the music is literally gone, LOL. But I must admit I count on good old Jackson to keep me in the loop with what is actually really new not just predictable and tiresome. You do too even if you don't know it so click the thumbs up and subscribe. At this very second would be a good time, so stop reading this and just do it 😇

LoFi isn’t really forking cool, it’s awful. Beautiful? WTF?. … if you like gritty sound you obviously didn’t grow up in the 50’s listening to 45s on portable record players. Spend $400 to sound like THAT!? jeezuschreest. Just buy a shitty amp and pull out one of the power tubes.. . .hell of a lot cheaper than $400. . .the whole thing makes my head explode. Ok. .I’m done. .gonna put my flame retardant suit on. LOL

Nah I’m right with you man. I just can’t get behind this type of stupidity. Apparently I’m an entirely different type of musician…

Not your cup of tea, and that’s okay. Maybe one day, you’ll get it.

This isn't about tube amps, it's about tape players. My generation grew up hearing wore out tapes on 20 year old malfunctioning hand-me-down cassette players in the 80s and 90s. Nowadays it's hard to find a truly new way of producing sounds in a convenient manner, especially one's that captivate multiple generations of musicians in unique and marketable ways, and people like Chase Bliss, Zvex, Hungry Robot, etc have managed to do exactly that. This pedal is to my generation what I imagine it to be like to my grandparents generation to go to a 50s diner, or hear the crackle of a needle as it drags through the silence at the beginning of a vinyl. Imperfections, but imperfections you grew up with and feel comfortable around. But you're right, maybe they should just focus on ceaselessly regurgitating new tube screamer and fuzzface clones.
