Giulia is an amazing car. One of my personal favorites in this segment. Handling is incredible and I love how it’s off the beaten path. Rare and unique, not just everyone else’s 3 Series or C Class. LOVE that spec, too! Almost exactly how I’d get mine!

They aren’t selling that’s why they are rare. A couple years ago they forced the dealers to bring in a lot of them and they had to mark them down by 40% just to unload them. Resale values are just terrible. Maybe you can get a cheap lease though.
@williamlong26824 жыл бұрын
Jake Kennedy While sales may indicate the public perception of the car, sales aren’t always indicative of the merits of the car, which are quite good as Eddie described in the video.
@williamlong26824 жыл бұрын
EddieX Also almost agree with your top 3 picks in this class, but I’d swap out the C Class for the Volvo S60 in terms of purely a comfortable, luxurious daily driver. It may not be RWD or the sportiest entry in the segment, but that’s not hugely important for just an around-town daily. C Class still excellent, though, without question.

The mandatory trigger fwd to reverse is to avoid false maneuvers like those reported AMG getting thru the wall of a parking lot at the fifth floor and hanging out there as only the bonnet got thru... I saw also a driver parked and idling with an A8 limo making a false movement and hurting a few persons in the move. So, the locking trigger with its small delay timer prevents those incidents but must be moved in sequence which is a bit annoying but is also a lot safer. The Ghibli was already criticized by test drivers ignoring this safety function and it got reprogrammed faster, but this ZF 8HP gearbox is so responsive and fast that such protection of undesired shifts is welcomed, and the trigger justify and reminds you : "do you really want to change direction" yes or no? Before it's too late...Once you drive with the shifter stuck on drive pos. you forget it. One last word about sensitive brakes hard to modulate on Quadrifoglio and many Alfa, it is nice because it's so light that you can drive them bare feet in summer but the braking deceleration also move your body forward which increases the pressure onto the brake proportional to your own weight. so that my light wife didn't notice it but heavier, I prefer to tight well the seat belt and drive with round toes driving shoes pivoting and gripping better onto the floor. Again something different to get used to, but great and that is also how and why we like those unique cars...

But when I had to choose my new lease car a year ago, I made the choice for an Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce (Ti sport in the US) diesel. Stromboli grey outside, red leather inside. It is such a pleasant, engaging car to drive, like the former 3 series used to do. Who cares about infotainment, if a car like this drive the way it does...

Out of all the cars I've owned in the last 40 years, my Ti Sport Rwd, turned out to be one of the most reliable and best handling cars. I returned it after my 2 yr lease was over. Only took it in to the dealer twice for 10K mile oil change and maintenance. For a fun daily this is hard to beat. It's very compliant on all surfaces and handles like a much lighter sports car at 8 tenths. Little soft at the edges for the hardest driving but then that's what the Quad is for. The only problem is the lack of a stand alone dealership to add that luxury touch you expect for the money and the brand. Instead I had to take it to a FCA dealer for service where you are treated the same as a Dodge/Ram owner. Still prefer it over the Germans, as the total cost of the lease and other costs were a lot less due to the aggressive terms. My dealer also gave me free maintenance for 2 years although only the first one was covered under the lease terms. The full stop and go adaptive cruise worked really well on my 2018 so I am sure it's even better on the new ones. I hope FCA keeps this brand alive in the USA, would love to see what they do for the next gen.
