I mean it's constant being in married situation. Once you start train you completely set your body in the feed and hunger situation where you either train or your body will look even more shit than it would look naturally without training. Gym training is just that stimulating to the muscle. I used to have good body as teen when i was just playing outdoor exercises and activies. Overall was just enjoying life and having fun. Untill i went gym, my body image and self-esteem was completely shattered. I absolutely hate the day i went to the gym first time and if i could talk younger myself the day before i went full in, i would stay stay the fuck out and enjoy the life. Of course, I can't speak for everyones behalf, but when you see your muscles atrophy and become either skinny fat or thin as a rail, it's an absolutely horrible thing to behold.

I don't know how I'd increase the intensity and TUT enough to make up for that 3rd weekly session. Given, I haven't plateaud yet, and won't for a long time. But I still don't know how it would be possible to do it. Even if I was juicing, I'm now missing an entire session every week. Jw what your secret is.

Not really sure about the advice for plateaus. Progressive overload is great, but if you're plateauing you literally cannot progressively overload. Thats literally the issue. If you plateau, it means you're stuck on the same weight. Adding weight will make you do less reps and potentially compromise form, so you're not necessarily improving.

@joeldoxtator9804 Жыл бұрын
My personal motivation over 20 years of training is find your weaknesses. Due to the imbalanced way lifting develops the body you will ALWAYS have weaknesses relative to the rest of your body. When you plateau, you step back from the big lifts a bit and work your weaknesses. It reignites your passion making progress again and it will lead to better strength in your main lifts.

Well said bro. You are learning what business school taught us. PPF or the slope of production and the constraints. In practice we tend to get complacent that errodes motivation; regarding the market saturation. If there's one thing that you can takeaway is by experimenting your marketing. Lifting is mainstream and I blame Zyzz for dragging me in this sphere... but it allowed me to get serious. I'm a newbie so I browse the numerous contents and I happen to like yours. For plateaus I’d also advise changing your split. Even just for a month or two. Not exactly the exercises. Your body might grow from a different amount of volume or frequency of training a muscle then it’s used too. And it can be good for the mind. Right now though I’m been doing the same thing pretty much for 6 months and don’t plan on switching it up.

Former Mr. Olympia Larry Scott went through a period of serious down-sizing after he stopped competing. When asked why he stopped lifting, he replied, "Because I wanted to see if I could be a man without the muscles." He had been a super star with 20" arms since his early 20s. His muscles were the source of all his confidence in himself. Had he really learned to be a man? No, because all his self-esteem came from lifting, not who he was inside. If you are idolizing fitness influencers(which is a FAKE career full of false perceptions) then you aren't a man yet. So, it's time to put the dumb bells down, put your shirt back on, stop the supplements, and go find a sustainable career you can do past 30. Then you will know what kind of man you can be.
