EPD Arrested me last week for filming... kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3i8h6eVisx0mJI We must not allow another Kelly Thomas killing. If this officer had stopped in the road to help a man it would be fine. Instead he uses his truck block the view of a public road while he abuses him. Officer McLauchlan, Ephrata Police, (509) 754-2491. I did request public records but the city claims they have no dash or bodycam video. > He was not a suspect or charged with any crime. he was not charged are taken to jail after this. I did request public records but the city claims they have no dash or body video. I did talk to a family member who said the man came out OK He was not arrested and was simply taken to the hospital. I will not be engaging in debates with those shameless enough to defend this officer. His actions are without excuse.

We are their subjects,...as they see it. They think they're better than all of the rest of us, and seethe with hate towards anyone who isn't a cop. Most of the truly brave citizens aren’t joining the police force anymore, so we’re left with the cowards who act tough behind the badge for no reason at all. With that being said, there are some brave police officers out there, who are out there trying to serve and protect! It is so easy to blame the Police with no reason, or clear evidence. It's obvious if this man escaped from a mental institution that he would be considered dangerous, this is why they called the police and not the ambulance or some other association to find him. He is obviously sick, however his sickness may hurt children or others, this is the reason, I am assuming, that he was institutionalised to begin with. I think you have your own agenda and it has nothing to do with helping people. Your comments are tantamount to inciting unrest and disorder. There's more to the story here, Gavin - did you witness the Police Officer walk up to him and throw the man down without cause, or did you first catch sight of him in the middle of him laying the guy out? If it was the former, you need to be clear about that so people who see this can understand what happened before you were able to get the Camera out and contact this Dept. and hold them accountable. If it is the latter, who knows what happened before you arrived, and he might have been justified by blocking the road if the individual was in the middle of it.

True and for good reason, but also when you accelerate at a high rate of speed or when you hit the brakes hard the seat belts lock you in the upright position which can make it nearly impossible to try and duck 🦆 out of the way in a hostile situation , once you're outta dodge than the seat belt can go on, this situation could've easily turned hostile because Mr Gavin is clearly not a stable person lol 😂

A Police officer is one who acts in accordance with the laws of the land, but a cop is a thug who uses the law as a covering to do what is unlawful and evil! Did this man act in accordance with the law or use it as a covering? Gavin said he saw him just throw the man down who apparently was not offering any resistance. So each person must decide if they were in a similar situation and assuming you were verbally disagreeing with the cop, and the cop suddenly threw you to the ground and cuffed you. Would you be alright with such treatment? To what extent will people accept abuses as acceptable across the board? Each one of you the viewer must decide!

Jakob Jones, You address me about my comment through an assumption of logic having been applied, yet you never asked whether what I stated was just my personal opinion or if I was even using a method of logical reasoning with regards to this subject content. I assumed you were joking so replied in kind, but then you sent a new comment insulting me for being lighthearted about the issue. Who do you think you are to speak to another person with such disrespect? I made a deduction based on my own understanding of the issue and never asked for your's or anyone else's position on the matter logical or not! Let me be clear to you, I do not care what you think or have to say moving forward except to say you are never to reply to me again regarding this matter or I will report you to the governing authorities for this website, for being abusive, is that clear? Enjoy being logical.

Tamara Weber he could be the risen son of god. Or a preacher, or a retired school teacher. He could also be a child molester or a murderer. So before you decide to judge what the officer did maybe we need to know the rest of the answers. We also didn't see him throw the guy to the ground or what happened before that. If the cop was wrong than he needs to be charged but you can't charge someone off of a nit wits video that doesn't show half of the confrontation.

The officer did not have to tell you anything because you have no importance in relation to the arrest. I have to see the officers POV,but until then all i see is a video that shows just how badly people can misinterpret an officers action. The title of the video is a joke,I did not see anything of what your title says. This was just click bait to me and misleading.

Gavin Seim- I am so proud of you, I have had very bad experiences with the law. At a time when I was reaching out for help, they surrounded me with 5 cars, told me to put my hands in the air, took my keys, lied to me about what I said on the 911 call, and then told me that they weren't there to listen to my problems. They then, got in my car, took my wallet out and then stole my taser gun(here in Tennessee, you can have a taser without a permit, I didn't know this, or any of my rights at the time). I was scared, and even though I stated that I wasn't going to kill myself, I was just scared and having a severe panic attack, they proceeded to take me to the hospital against my will and told me they were pawning me off to someone else who gave a crap. I feel lucky because I thought I was going to get shot, all of them, except the female, were antsy acting like they wanted to shoot somebody. I applaud you for your strength, courage, and huge heart!

Justaguyyoutubin I just want to set the record straight: I am not anti-police. I am anti to the current form of law enforcement we have today. For far too long I have believed that the police have the ability to “adjust” the law, to serve it in any form they see fit. And what bothers me most is the fact that when one police officer does wrong, there are VERY few officers who will stand up for what it is right and come forward about the abuses perpetrated by their fellow officers. A lot of officers would say they wouldn’t rat on their “brother”. But in my opinion, this makes those officers and equally responsible under the law as an accomplice. So the next time you see a video of 12 cops, 5 of which are beating the shit out of a suspect, don’t just castrate the 5 cops who are clearly to blame. Ask yourself: What about the other 7? Why didn’t they come forward? Why weren’t those cops stopping the others? THEN… tell me it’s just a spoiled few in the bunch

Contrary to his claims, he did NOT run to the suspect's aid as he claims nor did he step in in any manner. He verbally harassed the officer. Here's the thing, how does this Gavin fellow know who the suspect was? Granted it appears the suspect escaped from a mental health facility. However, what if that had been a murder suspect or child rapist? What if the suspect initiated the physicality? You need to realize that LEO's are legally required to use the minimum amount of force necessary to detain the suspect, PERIOD! If the suspect offers no resistance than no amount of force used by the peace officer will be nor should be tolerated by the public. If the suspect resists an arrest, appropriate force will be used. If the suspect uses or has imminent access to a deadly weapon or attempts to disarm the LEO, lethal force is authorized. If I or anyone am trying to take someone into custody and someone comes running/walking up behind me, or parks behind my vehicle, they are going to be addressed. WHat the guy does in general (if you ignore his tall tales) is akin to simply observing and maybe some mouthing off. Yet as what happened in the Clute Texas jurisdiction, this guy pulled up behind two officers who had conducted a traffic stop. Gavin states they have no right to pull the guy over and what did they pull him over for. The two officers basically tell him to kick rocks move his vehicle away. Gavin refuses, they respond if you do not leave you will be arrested for obstruction. Gavin then moves and speaks with a supervisor....... kinda anti-climactic. Yet the way Gavin tells it, Crazy cops want to kidnap my family until I deftly deescalated the situation. He is a legend in his own mind and a fraud

Hey buddy while you're sitting there yackin your jaws you're blocking the road way... Also you could have been a good citizen and picked up that can that was near the officer and the other subject. Also if you think you can do the job that officer does any better then start applying to be a peace officer. Some mental health patients are not very cooperative and they could possibly be a extreme threat so sometimes it's easier to take them into emergency protective custody very quickly before you have to use more force to place them into custody. So think before you decide to film an incident because in the end you have absolutely no clue what's going on or what has gone on. Especially when you drive up to an incident that you didn't observe at the start.

It could it could have been excessive force or maybe it wasn't really don't know what happened just before Gavin arrived and started filming.

Justaguyyoutubin everybody hates Gavin I've seen his videos on his channel does he really get a kick out of confronting police? I saw one video where he stops and confronts officer for driving an unmarked vehicle and stopping somebody on a highway. Judging from a lot of these comments obviously a lot of people don't like this guy

you pull over somewhere else and walk your fat ass over to him. It was an on ramp, not a one way. Learn the law bud, cops cant impede traffic which is what he did. Maybe the city should of thought of the laws before making a tiny as road like that. Its not Gavin's fault that the law is written the way it is.

Actually watch the video, the guy had a mental disability, and didn't break a law

This video is what made me subscribe to you years ago. What that cop did was wrong and it went totally under the radar. If they're not violent, you're not allowed to lay arms on people.

Greg Kistler at least he has ambition. clearly you as a baa-baa don't. Regardless of the messenger (any reporter's motive), see & hear the issue/s: 1) fact - video shows torn trousers & the arrestee alleging cop did it - damage to property, assault, excessive force (2) fact - video records a someone alleging witnessing throwing someone to ground improperly - assault, excessive force (3) fact - video shows cop refused to answer reasonable questions of public - secrecy, unaccountable, misconduct in public office (4) fact - video shows at no point did videoer interfere with cops duty, work, business, & always kept distance - yet look at cops pathetic response...& a legal fact, he stepped towards the videoer TWICE, which IS incitement, harassment, threatening behaviour, intimidation... ooops, you missed that KEY action (5) fact - EVERY individual has the lawful & legal RIGHT, FREEDOM, DUTY (yes, DUTY, a legal obligation!) & PROTECTION to ask a cop reasonable questions about ANY situation, especially arrest, with NO reason needed, but especially if there is a concern - NOT doing so & being wilfully blind (look it up!) makes them an accessory...suggest you learn common law matey!!!!!!! (6) fact - video proves cop did not try to reassure citizen or inform them of right to complain All above 6 FACTS are NOT the emotional stuff you accuse others of - so let a common law PUBLIC jury decide who was the naughtier between cop & citizen....we know what happens then...cops get caught! Just like the cops (plural, cos their mates who didn't intervene are culpable accessories!!) who recently arrested the nurse refusing to take / handover a blood specimen without warrant.... the fact is, more cops are doing wrong than is published, even with modern technology helping us expose the k-hunts. (7) yes videoer wrong regards obstructing highway when emergency beacons on (8) COPS & ALL LAW-BREAKERS (sorry, meant judiciary, lawyers etc) HATE being recorded, because recordings ARE the irrefutable evidence of fact of crimes & accountability - that's why they get even more aggressive. (9) cops ain't above the law... though most think they are (10) cops can be arrested by citizens....time it happened!!!!! if cops want respect...EARN it! You lose. BULLY.

was he a violent person ? the mental hospital patient. If he is that's why the officer threw him on the ground. And stay away from the police while doing their job the might spray you or taser you or worst yet shoot you! Do i agree with police brutality the answer is no but you do not know what really happened before he was knocked down.

Anastasios Alafogiannis ok... and thats a TRAINED fuckin cop. If he can't even handle a mentally disabled patient, who couldnt even help himself let alone be a threat, then its time for a new job. Let the folks who know how to properly handle situations do their thing. Let this cop stay behind a desk or better yet, find a better cop. As easy as 1 2 3.

Agreed. You have no idea what actually happened here.....you're lucky that you weren't taken into custody. Next time, MYOB.

I've worked with mentally disabled patients and if you have the correct patient and you have the correct personal it's not uncommon to see the correct personal chock holding that mentally disabled person. I'm telling you this to educate you. Mentally disabled patients can be very dangerous. The most extreme case I've encountered was a mentally disabled patient attacking me with scissors, because he was hysteric. You are too fast to judge. In this situation we don't know anything. Partially because the police officer refuses to comment on the situation. But that doesn't deflate the danger mentally disabled patients can pose.
