Great video David! I literally know nothing about this camera, but it looks like it really did a nice job. Definitely a nice compact set-up for a walk around. Some really great shots like the pink suitcase (random is quite right) and the red balloons tied around the street sign were my favorites, as well as the guy on the bike against the brick background. The restaurant worker in the alley was mint as well! Really enjoyed the video, always a great look around! Hope all is well with you and yours mate!

I own an EM-10 MkII and I also love it. Yesterday night I've been shooting a rock concert with it at a local hall, and it was fantastic. Oh, and 12-60 mm is my multipurpose everyday lens. So, I do fully agree with you as for both devices. Nice video, by the way!

I have two rig combos I use: My "A" rig is a Lumix G80 with the Panny (non-Leica) 12-60mm Lumix lens (recent buy, super glad I did - it's the most Goldilocks of all my Goldilocks lenses and water sealed, sweet lens!), a tiny little Lumix 35-100 zoom, an Olympus 45mm as my in-the-bag prime and some macro rings. My lightweight "B" rig consists of a "classic" Lumix GX1 body (highly recommended if you can get hold of one, although they are becoming like unicorn b*****ks) with the little Lumix 14mm pancake and the somewhat rare Lumix 14-42 pancake powerzoom (H-PS14042). I have immense respect and feelings of awe for the G80 (awesome camera), but the GX1 is the twinkle in my eye. I might sell the G80 to up-scale in future, but the GX1 is one of those "pry it from my cold dead hands" items. You have to try a GX1 at some point if you haven't already - I am confident you will like it.

I feel your pain Man... it's a great camera. I got the EM10 mkii as my first interchangeable lens camera and I loved it! Especially in rgds to the form factor and capabilities... but a few months in, I realized that I got the wrong one. An Olympus camera isn't like a cel phone, it will last for many years with care. So I decided that I wanted to leave it behind for my daughter, which is a problem for me since I live in very high humidity, so I got the EM5 mkii on sale used for about 350USD because it's water sealed and I love it even more. Rarely use the EM10 now. All of the customizable buttons , one on the back for exposure lock for skin tones with spot metering or general lock on red for great color rendition. One on the front for focus peaking for vintage lenses, articulating screen for selfies.... about 6 buttons in all I think, try one if you can, leave the EM10 with your son.

Well at least your son gets to benefit even if you lose full time ownership of the EM10 David. There's been some really nice light recently, definitely my preferred time of year, but the autumn colours don't seem to be popping that much so far, don't know what it's like up where you are - I'll undoubtedly be too busy to take advantage when they eventually appear. Love the guy on the bike about 6 and a half minutes in, and the light looked good throughout the video - we do like a bit of good light.

I've really been struggling with enjoying my photography and thought I needed a brand new full frame etc but I'm going to try this, have creative fun and try spark my love for the photography I love again, not doing events for others. Your videos in this camera have gotten me SO EXCITED!!! Question, how processed are you images or are these the colours from the camera?
@DavidFlowerOfficial Жыл бұрын
It’s a wonderful camera and I hope you have as much fun with it as I do. All my images are shot raw and processed to varying degrees. The main reason for this is that it somewhat represents what you can get from the files, rather than just what can be adjusted in camera. If you’re interested in how I edit there’s a free preset pack on my website and I often use Clearly Autumn dialed back to about 50% and use that as a base for my street edits. Thanks for watching 🖖

Had my 10MkII on a little outing paired with the Pana-Leica 15mm (but wished I had brought the Lumix 42.5), downtown Oslo tonight, first foray since I got a second hand MkIV early in the summer. Both of them are proper working cameras, and even if i do prefer the MkIV, the MkII is no slouch either. If you get a chance to try the MkIV, please do. It must have been dipped in Pixie dust or something. The output form it, in my opinion blasts both the EM5MkIII and the OM1 out of the water.

I feel that i would like to see more bokeh in my photos and idk if I can do it with my olympus
@DavidFlowerOfficial3 ай бұрын
If you want more background blur there’s a few way to achieve this. You can adjust your subjects position to allow more space between them and the back ground. You can use a faster lens of which there are quite a few for m4/3. You can use a longer focal length or if that’s still not blurry enough, then your final option is a larger sensor although as someone who uses full frame cameras aswell as m4/3 I can honestly say that the difference isn’t that big. You still need your subject in clear focus regardless of sensor size and the position of your subject in relation to the background is key.

@Didly883 ай бұрын
@@Chibidana short answer yes. Fuji's are great little cameras, but there's so much more you can do with the oly. One thing the Fuji can't do is interchange lenses. I've got a mountain of vintage lenses I've adapted to the oly which gives a nice unique look to your images. If you're using a camera for mainly street then the Fuji will do just fine. If you're looking to expand into different types of photography then I would go for the oly.

@KelvinSchwartzGrunlicht Жыл бұрын
@@DavidFlowerOfficial GX8 is sweet as long as you don't need bells and whistles IBIS (or dual IS). GX9 or GX80 probably better if you do. Both are quite rare around here though. G100 could be a photo+video sleeper if you've already got good panasonic IS glass like the 12-60 and don't need low light handheld adapted MF. Oly 45mm might be light enough to get away with most shots also. Agreed on the menus, so much easier to handle on the Lumix series.

You need to up your ISO or lower shutter speed. Then the exposure will start to move towards the 0. Try taking a picture in M-mode with the -3.0 exposure - you'll notice it will be horribly lit. It's just the camera trying to tell you to fix your exposure settings.
