I stopped drinking last year December When I spent R500k on Alcohol and Drugs October and I didn’t buy even a second hand Car or Save money and it scared me 😭😭😭 I am hurting because I am broke now I have R500 in my bank account

That was my argument, I'm a Zulu female, my understanding of African culture is a man is a leader, the head of the house, if I as a woman decides to marry, it means I must follow whatever the man does, my worry is there are plenty of African men that are not firm and have a strong desire to build African households. I understand what you mean. Alot of scholars are lost philosophers trying to make sense of life. The difference between them and regular people is that they are accredited by universities. But I will say religion affords people, especially men structure and discipline so in that sense I approve of it. I've spoken to numerous African men that are Muslim and a large part of the appeal of the religion is a self serving one. It allows them to recoup their dignity which most feel they have been robbed of due to colonialism and racism. Malcom X and Loius Farrakhan are good examples of this. The sad part is they never want to address the racism they face from Arabs in Islam. Islam for alot of black men is an exercise of climbing the patriarchal ladder. Very sad.

His name is Sizwe. A powerful name at that. Islam for me, I feel like the most racist of human beings are Indians and Arabs to African/Black Muslim brothers and sisters. It must be noted it’s brave of them to still choose to love Allah when it’s been shown time and time again in what you’d think is a safe space for them religiously to join this religion. It says if indoubt with what has been revealed in the quran then ask those who have the injil, but problem is, the injil proves its false. Now they excuse it by saying the the injil has been tempered with, the problem with that is theres historical evidence that the message is still the same. Ive seen more than one quran even though they claim theres only one so that arguement is dangerous. Theres many more other things in quran that just reveal its inspired by God
