I haven't taken apart a Titan reel. But I have taken apart a Hannay reel. I believe that you found the absolute...hard way to fix it.

Wonder if next time you could spot weld the one end of the all thread, then when you reassemble, put the welded nuts at the chain end. That way the removable nuts are easier to get to without so much disassembly. Just an idea

I JUST DID MY SECOND ONE. THEN FOUND OUT THE OTHER ONE I DID LAST MONTH ARE GETTING LOOSE AGAIN. SO ON THIS ONE ON THE GEAR SIDE I TACK WELDED THE NUT. SO I CAN PUT LOCK NUT ON THE OTHER SIDE. BUT I HAD TO REPLACE THE CORE CAUSE FROM THE HEAT IT SHRINKS AND WARPS. DIDN'T CUT THE PIPE SAUARE NOW THE SIDE WABBLE AND IT LOUDER AT THE CHAIN.
