That's pretty typical for ex-Soviet 50+ yo people. They'll tell bad stuff (such as "they're not well-educated") about young people who are robotic engineers, private-educated KZbinrs, successful video creators and call them ignorant. Then they'll need to update something on their phone and it turns out they need your help desperately .

I am genuinely curious what Michael does throughout a year that earns him revenue. Some of it is with Offline TV, but they usually film in bulk, so takes maybe a month of total on-screen time for him. His own KZbin channel produces maybe 2 videos per year, so that's mostly a hobby.. This is the first time in ages I've seen his face on someone else YT, even though I know he has a large network of creator friends. But in total that still leaves at least 8-9 months of "what the fuck does Michael do?"

They really made it themselves by their own hands as well. In the 90s Russia, with all of its infamous quirks. Based it all on some probably made-up museum blueprints and a lot of quesswork. With the help of Dutch ship-builders. Just like the original. However, of note, they made a conscious decision to go modern under the waterline. They do have a diesel engine down there, a proper kitchen with a freezer, a modern head, and about half of their sleeping spaces as bunks. The deck and all the rigging are historically accurate, though.

hello fellow humans, i very much like to welcome you to this website and the message of JESUS for the world!, the first human GOD created adam was a perfect creation made in GODS image , god LOVED HIS creation and saw it was GOOD, like GOD is GOOD, so that was that , but a high angel of GOD rebelled against GOD and was thrown out of heaven, satan didnt stop rebelling and started his war on GOD by telling the humans to also to rebel but very sneakily with alot of lies in it, he started tempting humans to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil wich GOD warned them to not eat of, the day human eated thereof they would die GOD told them , so satan said didnt god say you would die the day you eateth thereof? well i tell you if you eat thereof you will become like GOD thats why HE said that , so eve adams wife believed it and did it, also adam was taken in this complot and boom they were cursed with death and realized they were naked, that day they died spiritually and their soul would die the eternal death in hell if they didnt repent and prayed to JESUS in faith, and their body would die, but the second adam JESUS CHRIST who was without sin died for the sinners like a innocent lamb before his slaughters when that happened the world started shaking and was blacked out for 3 hours, the highest of 100 soldiers who stood by the event of crucifiying the SON of the MOST HIGH , the prince of PEACE,the LORD OF LORDs , he said TRULY this was GODS SON, so JESUS died but after 3 days GOD raised HIM from the death and made HIM destroy SIN DEATH and all those who were part of the eternal death; hell, satan and his angels , like moses and all the big prophets of GOD prophesied thousands of years before the biggest event of the world wich i tell you now in short if you believe with all your heart in JESUS you can be born again of your spiritual death self to a SPIRITUAL ALIVE SON OR DAUGHTER OF GOD, trough believe in JESUS, being baptized and receiving the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, you will be sanctified and made holy by the blood of the lamb JESUS CHRIST FULLFILLED 351 to 570 BIBLE PROPHECIES SPANNING ACCROSS THOUSANDS OF YEARS TROUGH THE OLD TESTAMENT BEING FULLFILLED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT here are a few: The Messiah would be called a Nazarene (Isaiah 11:1; Matthew 2:23). He would speak in parables (Psalm 78:2-4; Matthew 13:10-15). He would be called a King (Zechariah 9:9; Matthew 27:37). He would be betrayed for thirty pieces of silver, and a potter’s field would be bought with the money (Zechariah 11:12-13; Luke 22:47-48; Matthew 27:9-10). He would be silent when accused (Isaiah 53:7; Mark 15:4-5). He would be killed with criminals (Isaiah 53:12; Matthew 27:38). He would be a sacrifice for sin (Isaiah 53, Romans 5:6-8). This is just the tip of the iceberg. Scholars have concluded that Jesus fulfilled anywhere from 300 to 570 Old Testament prophecies. You need to believe JESUS and be born again trough water (baptism) and spirit( receive Gods spirit) to be saved //////

@@LeeNTien I believe that if they want to be able to legally sail it, they must have an engine on it due to some European regulations. I might be wrong though.

@@CockatooDudeYeah just elaborating on that almost all replica ships such as l’Hermione have engines on it, they obviously can’t keep a full ship’s company onboard like they would back in the old days because that means they would have about 14 inches each to sling their hammock and a hole on the forecastle as their head, not to mention it would be too expensive and unhygienic. Of course with their current number of crew it would be dangerous to sail without modern technology for if they are on a lee shore in a calm they don’t exactly have enough people to get the ship’s boats out and row, I would also assume they don’t actually keep a dozen people on the pumps all day below.

Everything about this collab was insane. The concept, the challenge, the collab, the production value. I don’t even know how you come up with this stuff. I love max and Michael and never expected them to be in the same video like this. And of course Michael is just in his own element here. He never posts on his own channel but he’s doing these crazy side quests. And it’s surprising watching max talk about being so fragile and not working hard a day in his life when I feel like a lot of his videos require hard work, but just in a different way than straight just doing it. It’s crazy you guys learned these skills in such a short time and were really given full responsibility of the ship. I’m glad you didn’t crash it. And now if there’s some type of apocalypse, you’ll know how to escape to the sea lol. Also I didn’t know real pirates still exist. They’re probably not plundering or anything but they’re certainly putting in crazy hard work to maintain and sail the ship with all the swabbing, pulling, climbing, and whatnot. And they do it all daily!
@SgtSupaman

Wow that looked like an experience of a lifetime. Michael living in the moment taking in all of it was something beautiful to see as well. I wished it was a little longer since 3 days is short enough you know the end is coming, a week might give you a taste of being miserable with a pay off. Watching you guys pull up the anchor also made me realize why having massive ships in historical times would be a challenge. How many people would you need to pull up a proportionally larger anchor, then how much supplies you would need to support that crew, and the material needed to withstand all those forces. Thanks sharing this experience with us!

I think It is very hard to make sure the ship doesn’t sink and everything doesn’t go wrong. And climbing those tall masts can be compared to the circus acts she has done. It also takes a lot of strength to pull the ropes and stuff. I am not mad at this coment or what you said just saying

I’d have to disagree with you airsoft, this adventure was certainly one of the more challenging! Climbing those ropes would be far more nerving than you’d imagine as well. A highly challenging journey with an extreme amount of endurance, “learning”, and resolve!

hello fellow humans, i very much like to welcome you to this website and the message of JESUS for the world!, the first human GOD created adam was a perfect creation made in GODS image , god LOVED HIS creation and saw it was GOOD, like GOD is GOOD, so that was that , but a high angel of GOD rebelled against GOD and was thrown out of heaven, satan didnt stop rebelling and started his war on GOD by telling the humans to also to rebel but very sneakily with alot of lies in it, he started tempting humans to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil wich GOD warned them to not eat of, the day human eated thereof they would die GOD told them , so satan said didnt god say you would die the day you eateth thereof? well i tell you if you eat thereof you will become like GOD thats why HE said that , so eve adams wife believed it and did it, also adam was taken in this complot and boom they were cursed with death and realized they were naked, that day they died spiritually and their soul would die the eternal death in hell if they didnt repent and prayed to JESUS in faith, and their body would die, but the second adam JESUS CHRIST who was without sin died for the sinners like a innocent lamb before his slaughters when that happened the world started shaking and was blacked out for 3 hours, the highest of 100 soldiers who stood by the event of crucifiying the SON of the MOST HIGH , the prince of PEACE,the LORD OF LORDs , he said TRULY this was GODS SON, so JESUS died but after 3 days GOD raised HIM from the death and made HIM destroy SIN DEATH and all those who were part of the eternal death; hell, satan and his angels , like moses and all the big prophets of GOD prophesied thousands of years before the biggest event of the world wich i tell you now in short if you believe with all your heart in JESUS you can be born again of your spiritual death self to a SPIRITUAL ALIVE SON OR DAUGHTER OF GOD, trough believe in JESUS, being baptized and receiving the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, you will be sanctified and made holy by the blood of the lamb JESUS CHRIST FULLFILLED 351 to 570 BIBLE PROPHECIES SPANNING ACCROSS THOUSANDS OF YEARS TROUGH THE OLD TESTAMENT BEING FULLFILLED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT here are a few: The Messiah would be called a Nazarene (Isaiah 11:1; Matthew 2:23). You need to believe JESUS and be born again trough water (baptism) and spirit( receive Gods spirit) to be saved /////

Shtandart sails around Europe for about 9 months out of every year, and anyone can join as crew for a leg of the journey or two. The general cost is about €100 per day, and one can choose when and where to embark and disembark. All details are on their website, linked by Michelle in the video description. There are also similar projects as well, although I know of only one very similar one: Gothenburg, Swedish Indiaman. But they are often fully booked and don't sail as regular or as constant as Shtandard does. Others I had seen about, but don't have their names or details.
@LeeNTien
@LeeNTien 5 ай бұрын
Furthermore, one can volunteer at Shtandart, which gives one a chance to be one of the crew on a bit more permanent status for free. However, that means one has to stay for about two months wherever they moor up (like Portugal or Italy etc) for winter repairs and help out with that. Scrubbing, painting, woodworking, heavy-lifting, whatever the ship needs. Also for free. While staying there somewhere, which will cost one a pretty penny, probably, unless you can couch surf or something... Ooor volunteer in some other capacity, like help with their website, or books, or some other way they may need. And then you may be selected to join the crew for a few weeks or even longer, as long as they have volunteer crew slots available.

I find it hard to believe that Michelle is actually the most experienced one who is competing in a challenge for once. She actually has the experience she has gained from every other Challenge Accepted video in the series. The next closest is Sam Depenby due to the experience of 8 seasons of Jet Lag: The Game.
@bobjones8587
@bobjones8587 5 ай бұрын
I’d have to disagree Tom. Sam was highly strung and passive aggressive which was played down by his insistence on “loving the calm nature of the sea & just being able to detach from land and follow the Captain’s orders”. He would’ve been a downer, the other two creators were far more enthusiastic and grateful for the experience - perhaps Sam having a net worth of over $5 Million has gotten to his head a fair bit.

To see some of my favorite creators go into a scenario that I have been in so many times “hard physical labor where others rely on you to get the job done, is thankless, and in a small pocket of the world” legit has me reflecting on how life is about the journey and it’s okay not to live life on a pedestal.
