You had a lot of confidence! We need to take back control over our health, for sure. But just cold turkey quitting taking certain drugs can be really nasty, and even dangerous. I just told my doctor I wanted to get rid of all of them, and asked for his advice for the quickest way to wean off of them, and in what order. I just accelerated the weaning off pace he suggested x4. I thought it was worth the two weeks. to get rid of them all.

I can SO identify with his story! I lost a friend, and my landlord, about 12 years ago. Two weeks after he'd had a complete physical and passed with flying colors, he had a massive heart attack and died. Daniel is blessed to have survived his . . . and gone on to explore what happened, and share it with us!

Do you happen to know if that physical included a stress test? I've heard a number of stories about people passing the stress test and then having heart attacks shortly afterwards.

I love the title of the book, Unholy Trinity. It’s all the stuff I’ve given up and feeling so much better since. Since then all my blood work has returned to nearly optimal. I have also realized how every diet has a healthy version and an unhealthy version. The unhealthy version always incudes the Unholy Trinity.

23:14 A sweet friend of ours who was dealing with dementia had a hip break. We believe her hip broke and that caused her fall. She had surgery to fix the hip. Never really woke up from the surgery and passed away within a few days. So sad. I remember visiting her and her husband at home and there were Oreos and other sweets just out for constant snacking.

This is an interesting interview because I like “heart talk.” I am a labs nerd and like to order my own tests, especially when the doctor won’t! I had an MI with a stent in ‘23 and I can say that I had similar experiences after it was handled. I refused Lipitor 80mg because my cholesterol at the time was 148. My lipid panel was in range. Cardiologist said, “ You’re the most difficult patient I’ve ever had to deal with” because he said I only agreed to take 2 of what he called the “4 pillars” of drugs. Sorry doc, it’s my body! Thanks Dave! 🙏😊🥩

I had angina. It had gotten worse over a few years. It was my only symptom. I went to a cardiologist who put me on a Holter monitor for a week. In that week I had a 10 second episode of ventricular tachycardia. A month later he was putting a stent into my LAD artery. So don’t let that angina get worse.

Great info thank you! I don’t mind that he promoted his book quite heavily, don’t throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water! I had to insist with my GP to get a fasting insulin test done bc my fasting BG and my A1c were both normal he didn’t see the point! Eventually he conceded and also admitted he had no idea how to interpret the results! He ended calling me with the results and he asked that I explained how it worked. My reading was 9, anything over 6 is already a problem with insulin resistance! Great GP i might add … thanks Dave, very interesting interview!

I'm paying to get my fasting insulin test coming up next week! My doctor won't order it. Thanks for letting me know anything over 6 is not good. Google says up to 12 is ok! I'm also getting a re-check of my A1c, which a year ago was 5.6 (bordering on t2 diabetes). I've been eating ketovore for almost 5 months, and I want to see if there's been a change. I never had a fasting insulin test before, though. So I don't know what it was before.

That was the one big thing that totally blew my mind. They say have as much lettuce as you want or have health whole grains like oats etc turns into sugar even greens do.. I was like WHT if they turn into sugar then of course it matters how much of them you consume.. No one ever spoke of how much sugar is in green vege, not once was i told. i just assumed naively that vege had no sugar. Here you are eating oats with "water" not milk and no sugar on top all the time the oats is sugar.. Lies lies lies

For those who have atherosclerosis look into the benefits of lumbrokinase, nattokinase, serapeptase. Cleveland Heart Clinic is using it in patients with great results to clear all the plaque. Ofcourse following a low carb diet is going to help as well. Lumbrokinase is 40 time more effective than natto in dissolving the plague but the other 2 have benefits to perifial circulation and joints. You can buy these as stand alone enzymes or a mix of them. My brother has used them for a year to clear is arteries which was proven by ultrasound scans after only 14 months. His VA doctors were amazed but none believers after he told them. The followed with an MRI which showed his calcium plaque that were located in the junctions of the descending aorta junctions on the MRI the previous year were gone as well. When they saw the results they suddenly weren't interested in why or how he accomplished it.
