0:00 Introduction: How to clean out your arteries and reduce the risk of heart disease
0:22 What causes plaque in the arteries?
1:34 High LDL cholesterol
2:20 The best nutrients to support your heart
5:13 The best foods for blocked arteries
12:33 Learn more about biofilms!
Let’s talk about the best meal you could eat to clean your arteries and reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.
The plaque that can build up in the arteries is a combination of calcium, protein, and cholesterol. In many cases, the calcium results from biofilms, which are colonies of microbes with something like a shell to protect themselves.
Biofilms tend to accumulate on roughened edges-if the arteries are smooth and strong, they probably won’t accumulate there. Lesions, oxidation, inflammation, or damage could lead to plaque in the arteries.
Typically, a person with clogged arteries will also have high LDL cholesterol (small-dense particle size LDL). Both arterial plaque and this type of LDL are correlated with a high-carb, high-sugar diet.
The best nutrients to support the cardiovascular system and reduce the risk of heart disease:
1. Vitamin K2
2. Vitamin C
3. Vitamin E
4. Omega-3 fatty acids
The best meal for your cardiovascular system:
• Wild-caught salmon
• Sauerkraut
• A large arugula salad with extra-virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, sunflower seeds, Parmigiano cheese, and garlic.

One addition IMPORTANT point: heat destroys vitamin C (as in "pasteurization"), so when you get your sauerkraut, find one that is raw or make it yourself.

I am down fifty pounds due to intermittent fasting and eating healthy. My biggest secret is getting a lot of rest and stepping away from stressful situations. My journey has been going on for seven months thus far. I am also over sixty and one of the greatest mindsets is to first eat to get healthy and secondary is the weight loss that will occur. Arugula salads have been my go to food. I am still refining my dietary choices according to every video that I watch. Thank you!🌞🌻🙏🌼

salad is not healthy. its full arsenic. But learn the hard way like everyone else. Meat has the nutrition your body needs. You want to stay away from carbs cause there is not a lot of nutrition in it and it will bloat you and make you tired. All it does is turn into sugar. That is basically what salad does with a ton of arsenic in it. All your doing is putting sugar in your body. Foods that are composed of carbohydrates are turned into sugar or glucose. These include foods such as pasta, bread, vegetables, fruit, and rice= eat meat. Just because you lost weight doesn't mean you are being healthy.

I had a blockage break loose in my leg while I was sleeping, 18 years ago. It went through my heart and stopped in my neck. I almost died. I passed out. When I awoke, I was in pain from my leg all the way to my heart and up to my neck. I prayed. I didn't want to die. The Lord repeated these words in my mind for hours afrer I prayed: "Grape juice. Grape juice. Grape juice." Confirming it, my radio was on, listening to a radio program that the host did a commercial for Welch's grape juice. I bought 5 gallons at a big box grocery store and drank 1 gallon per day. I kept drinking between 1 and 2 gallons per day for about 2 months, then stepped it back to a half gallon per every other day for anotherI month. My blood pressure was 185 over 110 at the time of the blockage breaking free. After 2 months of drinking grape juice, it was 105 over 60 and stayed there since the past few years, going to 110 over 70. Which is still good. I thank God for His mercy.

The only pain that I've known like it was toothache, except it felt like a toothache in my chest. Great video, keep in mind periodontal disease is closely related to vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D also helps keep tight junctions between the cells to prevent bacterial leakage. As a dentist i don't believe that periodontal disease spreads to cause dementia, and or cardiovascular disease, but that those individuals with periodontal disease have very low vitamin D levels, which correlated with major illness of every kind. fix the D level (preferably by natural sunlight exposure) which controls the gut microbiome, and a lot of problems disappear....

Thank you for this valuable information. I’ll be applying this and consuming all of these daily. - wild caught salmon has high omega 3 which supports arteries, heart muscles, and decreases arterial inflammation and blood pressure - sauerkraut has 7x the rda of vitamin c and k2, high levels of lactic acid bacteria which acts as an ace inhibitor which lowers blood pressure, it inhibits biofilms which can cause plaque, reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease through supporting the guy with microbes. Lactic acid helps regulate ldl and enhances production of bio salts which help with the abstention of vitamin d, e, and k2. - Vitamin c inhibits biofilms and acts as an antioxidant which prevents lesions and damage to arteries. Biofilms can only stick to rough parts of the arteries which vitamin c prevents. - Arugula is good cruciferous which is good for the liver, has blood glucose lowering properties, loaded with DIM which helps lower biofilms. The fiber helps feed bacteria, it’s loaded with potassium which helps keep the arteries soften which effects blood pressure - Extra virgin Olive oil has effects on blood pressure as well as anti inflammatory effects. - Apple cider vinegar has properties that lower risk of cardiovascular disease. It help lower and regulate blood sugar. Helps regulate cholesterol. Helps mobilize biosalts. Has anti inflammatory properties - sunflower seeds spike vitamin E - Hard cheeses are loaded with vitamin k2 - Parmegiano from Italy is produced by a small group of farmers in northern Italy who keep standards high for cheese production. The cows graze on a variety of plants which affect the micronutrient profile of the cheese. Something not done in the United States. Get authentic Italian cheese and shave it onto salad. - Parmegiano is a good source of protein, probiotics, and k2. - garlic(powdered, raw, fermented) thins the blood, reduces blood pressure, anti microbial, prevents biofilm

You are very much right Dr. Berg, I've also heard that bad oral hygiene may lead to cardiovascular issues. Here's the interesting part, intermittent fasting leads to better oral health because one doesn't eat very often so food particles are collected relatively less. In addition, better immunity and to a certain degree autophagy don't let bacteria thrive that well. Of course this is only my own opinion.

One of the most useful things you could add to this would just be to explain what sauerkraut is for example: sauerkraut is.... eg: "Sauerkraut is finely cut raw cabbage that has been fermented by various lactic acid bacteria. It has a long shelf life and a distinctive sour flavor, both of which result from the lactic acid formed when the bacteria ferment the sugars in the cabbage leaves. It is one of the best-known national dishes in Germany."

I am Italian and you pronounced Parmigiano correctly doc! That's incredible how the diet you described is really mostly part of our daily intake, especially in the northern part of Italy, where we are closer to Austria and we inherited the culture of sauerkraut. Of course we do eat also quite a lot of less healthy stuff such as lots of cold cuts, alcohol, sweet cakes and refined grains. But our grandparents did not. Thats why they get to live till 100 whereas the younger generation is "kind of" less healthy. In Italy we say :"if you eat like a king, you'll die like a king" which, by the way, kings were dieing very young and from coronary deseases.
