Honestly I'm so glad that yt recomended me your video about doing cardio everyday for 30 days. I was suprised, that you didn't have hundreds of thousands subscribers. I absolutely love your videos and editing style. You give such vibrating and positive energy and your videos actually changed something in me. After watching your videos I decided that I want to change my lifestyle for better: be more active, ditch addicting apps and finally allow myself to read more instead of pushing off reading because I feel bad that I actually need to study (but end up on being phone anyways :/ ). I wish you only the best and I'm excited to see your new videos in the future. Keep doing what you do and enjoy yourself. xoxo

I'm 36 and a couple of years ago, I decided to stop reading books halfway through that doesn't interest me or I could not get through. All my life, I've always pushed through, no matter how much I don't like the book. But I realized life is too short to shove a book down my throat if it doesn't make me happy. I give a book up to 1/3 or 1/2 of it and if it still feels like a slog, I give up and move on to another. I don't feel guilty about it anymore than when I was younger. Recent book I gave up on: A Little Life (It's misery porn - I coulnd't do it! And this is coming from a woman who had a telenovela style life/upbringing!) I love this so much and can't wait to see more videos from you!

I am an avid fantasy reader annnd I skipped the Two Towers when I read Lord of the Rings. It was SO boring. So I read a synopsis of the book and moved on to the Return of the King. No shame. Life is too short to read stuff I don’t enjoy. For me, reading is for enjoyment. The books I read are “junk food”. They’re fun, they’re always fiction, I don’t learn anything except maybe some new vocabulary. And that’s okay!

I was an avid reader growing up. The ‘learning to read’ stuff like good ol’ mysteries … Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, Agatha Christie’s…. Then university, a career in education and then, leadership, which really taught me about ‘reading to learn’. Thanks to our daughter and hubby (and retirement) now, I’m slowly returning to ‘reading for fun’ and ‘reading to relate!’ Thanks for the boost. Keep on inspiring!

I definitely don't read as much as I did when I was a child, but back then, I didn't have to read as a major part of earning my living. LOL. I still find a lot of benefit from reading-- it clears my mind, settles me, and if you find the right book, it is lovely! I've been trying to read about 10 pages every night. Somedays I'm successful and somedays I am not!! The idea of getting together with a friend to catch up and also read together, that sounds wonderful and I'm tempted to see if any of my friends would be interested!

This video is so great! It is so nice to see you and your closest people engaging in this together too. I have such a hard time with the whole decreasing screen time thing, especially because I have almost fully transitioned to reading digitally, all books on my iPad... and still I feel guilty like I don't read enough "real" books. It is such a tough thing to reconcile even within your own mind. I used to be the kid that would haul an entire bag filled with books with her everywhere she went and would walk down city streets while reading. Probably safer for me now that I don't, but I definitely miss those days. These days, I just bring the iPad everywhere and read whenever I have any spare moments. Side note! I am so proud of you for getting a new book when you weren't into Hamnet. It is such a hard thing for me to watch someone not enjoying a book and just forcing themselves for the sake of finishing it. Reading should be fun and it should make you happy, or immerse you in a new world. If it isn't for school or work or something, there is nothing that says you need to finish every book you start. Thanks again for the great video!

Second time watching your video (first was I did stretching every day for a month), and love your personality and great editing, so you definitely earned yourself a new subscriber (also wondering why you don't have around 100k subs)

I’m soo SO happy that the algo recommended your videos to me, you’re officially my favourite KZbinr (and possibly person) ever! Your videos are truly a breath of fresh air and have inspired me to move more and try out new things (this is my first online comment ever!!) and I absolutely love your funny, creative and positive personality:) Keep going please!! Also, on the topic of reading more- have you tried a kindle? I purchased one last year and it’s been the best investment- there’s no blue light (which is great to replace screen time as it reads just like actual paper), it’s light and compact and travels with you like a dream, waterproof, has varying brightness levels and night light…I could go on! (I swear I’m not getting paid for this) there are even similar e-readers and kindles that allow for journaling too:) Worth a look if you’re interested! Keep smiling and have a great day/week ahead! :D

Rofl! The key to reading is having a cute furry reading buddy. I have bunny. I love how real and goofy this was. ❤

Another Makari video :) Congrats on finishing the challenge. Also it's good to quit books you don't really love. You made the right choice.
