It would be cool to analyze a team fight or gank like you did here that could be avoided if the player new about a common ward spot or some such. something to condition people to think about where the vision is when things get heated. maybe a short?

Its very cool when I see some of my own warding ideas being said by you two legends. You really helped us out a lot by teaching stuff. However, I'd not guess that final spot the immortal undying put it, it's really another level of playing support and getting dewarded lots of times to know that.

On scenario 5 I think definitive answer is to take the top part. Even prior the rank reveal, logic is that if you assume the enemy is competent I don't think Radiant draft win's a triangle invasion if the enemy respond well. And I mean even if you get the pickoff on Sven, you don't want to fight with the rest of that dire lineup on their turf. Best case scenario I think is 3 for 1 trade mb 4. Otherwise said it's too high risk play to be worth it even for stacks. Drow scales perfectly into Sven and losing that engagement might lose the game. PS: Also on a second look, you are certain that at least one support is nearby for the rune.

16:10 scenario4 you should also consider placing a ward around the mid camp below the T2 bottom you'll get vision on someone depushing and farming the nearby camps, good for a catch later on

In lower level Dota this is mostly academic. In a reality where I work to shave 2 seconds off my shopping routine due to the relentless tempo and aggression, shuffling around solving ward puzzles is not something I regard as remotely viable. Also, in low level Dota warding is extra tricky. Even as a pos 4, actually being able to buy observer wards is far from a given because the other players hog them. You could devote yourself to the finer points of the warding metagame and rarely actually have a ward to place. Sentry wards is a different matter since they cost gold obviously. I'm thinking that maybe IceFrog isn't done reiterating the warding mechanics, because from my perspective it's not really working. Maybe all wards should cost gold. That way people have to make a choice of investment tied to their role. For a certain nervous mid now for example, hogging the wards seems like a no brainer. Or maybe an even better idea is to do away with observer wards and fix all vision to capturable points.

I'm taking profit of the comment section to ask something. I discover the game couple of months ago, and I'm trying to improve myself to get better. Actually i'm guardian, and as a pos5 player i figured out (and essentially when we are losing) i get roasted for wards by the p1/p2/p3 (but in the stats at the end i figured out i placed around 20 obsW, 40 senW and my mates didn't buyed any wards during the game). Imo, i shouldn't take risk to wards certain area, if the enemy team have a great map control i'll ward some Jungle spots to let my carry farm or being able to take fight with advantage. Should we just waiting on the support to ward, or is it admitted than core can ward their own area to farm safe or anything? That's my question! I mean, when i play chaos knight or naga i always have sentries with me, and if i have to Jungle a bit i'll get an OBS who cost nothing and who can help the support to farm too instead of warding for me who got a money advantage. I usually end the game as a support with 1k5 - 2k gold spent on support items like sentries or dust, with a shit gpm, and i die a lot around 11 times due to bad position, and a lot of time for taking risk for my team
