You need tempered glass to do it because that's what the side windows are on a car are made out of

You can also shatter tempered/automotive glass with a broken piece of ceramic, like off of a spark plug. You don't even have to hit it hard, just gently lob it at the glass and it will shatter.

Bamboo is good for cooking fish. That's probably why it came in a kit that has fishing line and hooks. I bet they would probably put a different type of grate in the kit if it was for a different survival situation

The charcoal is called "quick lights" very similar to those uses for smoking hooka. You can buy small logs of them for about $4 here. Comes in a pack of 8. They don't flame like a normal briquette. The reason is because an open flame is harder to control. Makes sense why they use it in a survival box. Everything in that box seems very well though out. Great vid!!

i had a nice Klarus flashlight with the adjustable angle head. Over time it got looser until it would not hold the angle you set it to... Super easy fix (if its out of warranty). Take some blue (non permanent) loctite and put a bunch in around the swivel for the head. Let it set up and voila, it holds its position again. Over time it will break off and do the same thing, just add some more but it will be good for months before you need to redo it.

I’m a helicopter mechanic. Get the stream light micro stream USB. But get the bronze colored one. One click is high. The black one goes to low first. But I’ve had the bronze one for a couple years and it’s amazing for the price!!

Those glass breaking points on those survival tools usually work well. Because of you, I had to try breaking a Mason jar with a survival tool. Like your experience, it made little divots in the jar but worked well on a cars side window.

Modern auto glass is basically two panes of glass with a plastic center. Thus, it is designed to "fracture with small fragments". The glass you have may not be the glass you need.

You are not meant to hammer metal with the back of an axe as its ductile (not hardened) on the back , its just for driving wooden pegs etc or it can dent and even spread the eye of the axe

Hey Tyler the reason the glass breaker struggled was because car windows (with the exception of the windshield) are tempered glass where jars are untempered glass. Also keep up the good work man and invest in some safety glasses.

It is a camp axe that is why the handle is like a normal axe. Hatchet handles are much thinner.

My wife got me a subscription to battle box I got two boxes and was kinda unimpressed myself but could also see the appeal. There was a mix of useful tools and silly gimmick stuff, the useful tools were mid to low end (which is expected for the price) I ended up with 3 knifes two fixed one folding a backpack a tarp one of the knives was great a tops bob a quality knife I would have bought myself the other two were kinda cheap I wouldn’t buy and already had better versions. I had better versions of the backpack, tarp, compass, fire starting tools, etc. the other things in the box were kinda silly gimmicks coffee, granola, stickers a cheap fish trap. From looking at this box I’ve got a better hatchet, flashlight, tarp the other stuff I wouldn’t buy. I’d say someone young and just getting it outdoor activities wilt limited equipment this would be a great gift. An older more experienced guy who has spent years building up his gear would probably be disappointed.
